  • What if a Cardinal like Roger Mahony is elected after Benedict?

  • @SatisCognitum Then he will be protected from declaratively teaching error by the Holy Spirit, he will wear white, probably kiss tarmac and write encyclicals. The CHANCES of this happening, with the current make-up of the college of Cardinals, are very small.

  • Btw Michael Voris, I've gotten that "You're not being charitable" from all sorts of Catholics! I can't stand it when I get told I'm not being charitable just for stating what is objectively true.

  • I am very blessed to have a retired priest who comes to my parish every Sunday, and is not afraid to tell it like it is. He speaks out in Truth, and lives it. I appreciate being show the way by someone who has lived it. Last Sunday he gave a homily that basically stated that even though you may go through the motions of being Catholic does not give assurance that you will go to heaven. He is considered conservative, I guess that means so am I. Thank God,and may Christ be with you! Keep the Truth!

  • It's only a matter of time before a pope permits contraception within marriage. I suppose THEN it will be O.K! The RC church has changed many of its views recently. In 2005 (Vatican city), Pope Benedict affirmed that those who genuinely seek peace and the general good are saved even without Christian faith. Pope John Paul rejected doctrine implying Jews (or others) could only be saved with conversion. "Inspired" messages from Medjugore are not criticised for teaching equality of all religions.

  • @psandbergnz The pope said no such thing - he said those who are COMPLETELY IGNORANT of the Christian faith may be saved. And the Medjugorje messages are NOT approved or inspired - the Church has never said so. The Catechism clearly states ALL MEN (even Jews) must have Jesus to be saved.

So, you are 0 for 3.

  • Straight Up!

  • Once again, Michael, you have squarely hit the nail on the head with this presentation of the Vortex. Roger Cardinal Mahoney is only one of the many reasons why I have never attended the LA Congress. I have very high hopes for his successor.

  • You are so right Micheal, on every point! I get especially angry when during intentions they always pray for an end to "all" attacks on human life from abortion to the 'death penalty' as if they are equal. They made the pro-life group include opposition to the 'death penalty' too, and if you didn't agree then you could leave. Everyone there now holds hands from the 'Our Father till the 'peace' handshake, and we have to greet all those around us at the beginning of Mass, makes me ill. :/ sad.

  • Michael Part 1,

Why has Cardinal Mahony not been excommunicated along with these Bishops that are not teaching the "TRUTH" of our faith? Saul was an evil man & an enemy of the "TRUTH" of our faith. These Saul believers should also be excommunicated NOW! Is this not mean spirited? NO!

  • @Beeirish1965 Part 2,

But, those supporting Saul Alinsky and his political philosophy which seems to makeup a lot of our American church; Cardinal’s and Bishops and priests and laity should be stating the TRUTH of GOD or receiving a “PINK SLIP.” Are we not supposed to proclaim the TRUTH from God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit? YES or receive a PINK SLIPS I love it!

  • Michael -- In addition to writing letters where needed, if there is anything else you and your team can think of to organize the faithful in a comprehensive way, please let us know. We are with you, so many of us are, but we don't know what to do collectively. It is hard to feel stuck and helpless in this battle. We the faithful will move forward in prayer and in speaking up where needed, and look forward to any further organizing possible.

    Thank you for your work!!!

  • Great job on this, Michael. Your a voice crying in the wilderness

  • Hi, I'm 'new' Catholic (Baptized Catholic as a baby, but not raised Catholic). I just want to say that I went through the 'roulette' wheel as well, but luckily I made a point to learn my Faith during RCIA on my own, besides what happened in class.

I guess as a newbie I was initially confused why some Catholics would say something is ok that obviously wasn't. I made a decision early on to stand up for what is true, not what makes others 'feel good'. Truth is Truth, it's not relative.

  • Thank you very much for speaking the truth so plainly. I watched the meetings of the Catholic Bishops after the clergy sex abuse scandals a few years ago and was shocked by what I saw and heard. A large number of the bishops were in such denial of the problem and so unaware of their own sinfulness that they went so far as to say that the sexual abuse of the children was not a problem and that the real problem was the media making such a big deal about it. Thank you again for speaking the truth.

  • I'm not sure about leaving a parish to find one that's liturgically & theologically faithful.Could we fight & tell the heretics to get out?Redemptionis Sacramentum says we have an OBLIGATION to report liturgical abuse to the Vatican if a local Bishop doesn't correct the matter. My wife spoke out during Mass when after consecration a visiting priest explained how the layity can absolve sins & told him that was heresy & we came for the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass not his show.He hasn't been back.

  • Love to you Michael and all your staff..Please tell us more often where you get your information from, so we can verify it..so when we share these bits of info we can tell people where to look..Thankyou and God Bless.

  • I hope the dissident clerics and staff will be laicized and fired ASAP. Why have they been tolerated for years or decades in the first place? Is it because they can rub elbows with the influential and extract money from them for "social justice" schemes? Nah, some higher ups are just in the same progressive crowd as the dissenters. People have forgotten that it is better to lose a few thousand bishops than lose a few hundred million souls. And loyal replacements will have the opposite effect!

  • Our new Archbp coadjutor in LA, Jose Gomez, brings us some hope, although after his praise of how wonderful Mahony has been and how honored he is to learn from Mahony we are all on the wait and see.

  • Keep it up Michael. The truth is the truth and needs to be heard. God Bless you for how courageously you proclaim it.

  • You need to call for traditional remedies such as excommunication. What good is excommunication if it isn't exercised ? I am from Kansas and was once in the office of Kathleen Sebelius when she was a state senator some 15 years ago .On her office wall was a bumper sticker that said " Another Nun For Pro Choice". Kathleen sold out years ago,

  • @marketwatch101 Excommunication is a very final solution - and not always the best. Still, the point holds - people must be called to account. Right now, nothing is being done. Something should be done - but that something should not (at first) be excommunication.

  • @RealCatholicTV Well, you can see what has happened without it. A few well chosen excommunications will probably help quite a bit. But a line in the sand needs to be drawn. Didn't some one named Moses do that ?

  • @marketwatch101 It's not just without excommunication - it is without ANY sort of action. I agree; something must be done - but to immediately bust out the excommunication would be like busting out the death penalty for crimes which have gone entirely unpunished for years. The bishops should first speak with these people - something which hasn't been done - and then get more serious from there.

If they don't listen; THEN excommunicate 'em. :)

  • Attaboy Mr. Voris. Keep up the good work.

  • I thought abortion was acceptable when the life of the mother is genuinely at risk.

  • @wood9670 This is not Catholic teaching - direct abortion is never acceptable.

  • I like this show.

4:50 -- YES That is so prevalent; it undermines so much...

  • Dear Michael,

Please DO NOT stop what you are doing!!

Your ministry is doing an excellent job!!! Which is why all the liberal clergy and laity are attacking you!!

Please know that a lot of what you described does not just happen in America, but also in Asia, Europe, Australia, etc.

We need voices like yours!! God bless you, Michael!!

I pray often for you and your ministry!! You have my 101% support!!
