Er, they keep going back and forth. This is no surprise if you've been following Aerosmith for awhile. A lot of fans have been predicting the band's demise for over a year now, and the problem mostly lies with Steven Tyler's behaviour of late. His fall from the stage in Sturgis SD was just the straw that broke the camel's back. Sad, though. Joe Perry seems pretty intent on getting rid of Tyler, and although I can't blame him, it breaks my heart.

wow. i knew they would have to cancel the tour, but to break up over some hurt feelings? i can see steve tyler's being upset that the band wanted to continue the tour without him, but at the same time, steve didn't have a problem going on without brad whitford when brad had surgery. granted brad isn't the front man, but he's just as an integral part of a 30-year legacy as steve is. hope it's not true, but if so, they still had a damn good run, and that shouldn't be forgotten.
