I met him once after a show. He was just hanging out a balcony bar in Philly with his friends and people from the show were just like, uh, hey, what's up. Everyone pretty much left him alone, though, which I thought was really cool.
@jwalshson09 it's not nervousness, it's years of alcohol and heroin use. the last few years of his life his performances are almost painful to watch sometimes.
His best performance of needle in the hay by far.

I had a dream that I went to highschool with him last night and he died, and he was one of my best friends, and i was sad.
