@vergil954 I'm so sorry but I don't know who he is. I wish I could help more... but your best bet is to do a little research on the products that would work best for the texture that you have... The second thing that might help is to ask a beautician that has a lot of experience in processing hair. they will be able to give you the results that you want...
I got the just for me texturizer about 2 weeks after i did the big chop. It did say to comb throug hwhich i did. My hair came out a little straighter that I wanted it to. Yet, my hair grew out and this texturizer seemed to kind of lessen in a way. So i have an afro with mini curls now. Next time i texurize which will probably be in maybe jan or feb i will not comb though it so that i will have more managable hair and boncier curls.
i was natural for 10 yrs and i wanted something new. so last week i decided to texturize with just for me botanical. in the direction it said to come through hair which turned out to be my biggest mistake. my hair is now straight and i am already starting to cut it out. never again will i put my hair through this again, im fine with keeping my hair braided lol
I've been natural now for about 5 months now...had a horrible texturizer experience about a year ago which was totally my own fault...long of the short, I took micro-braids down after having them in for about 3 months and then I put the texturizer in....UMM can you say HOT A** MESS?! I ended up cutting clumps of hair out because my hair was matted and NO amount of combing or conditioning helped...lesson learned! lol
@vincychick1234 It really depends on the reason why you are gettin it. If you are doing it to soften your curls a little then once or twice a year but if you are getting it to make your hair more mangable, fairly relaxered or even if you want a straighter look when you flat iron I recommend four times year.
You are so on point! I appreciate your video because I am going to texturize my hair. I am leaning towards the Just for me softner because it worked well in the past. I am also wondering how you retouch a texturizer. I will only be retouching 2Xs a year. I found really good products for my natural hair including the jheri juice!
Hello. I just had a texturizer put in my hair today. Right now my hair is not as curly as I thought it would be. Is this normal? I have a small afro going on right now and thats not what I was expecting.
Yep-per! Texturizers just loosen the curl pattern. If your have really tight curls It might not do much for your hair. Now, if you wanted to have big curls you could of gotten a permanant wave or perm. I say perm and not relaxer. Perms give you the abilty to choose what size curl you want. ......More and more people are opting to get texturizers instead of relaxers. Texturizers give you many options. So don't worry have fun and always remember to moisturize. Hope that answers your questions.
nice video:) but 1 question im trying to get a texturizer on my new growth but i was wondering can a texturizer be flat ironed and if i want it wavy again can it go back? or if it gets wet will it become kinky again
ah, good question. Yep-per! You can flat iron your hair and it will return to its curly state afterwards as long as you are cautious to the heat damage. Ohhh the endless hair styling option. good luck
Omg I love u for making this video!! Lol very helpful b/c once I'm fully natural frm relaxed hair I plan on using a texturizer every 6 months
