@martybhoy72 Hi, tune in a NES or C64, plug zx81 in, change sound standard to DK Or BG, colour standard to PAL and use the finetuner to tune it in. Works on my flatscreen.
I used to have this game on tape - but never played it! That's because I never got the money (I was barely more than a toddler) to get me a ZX81. But I bought "Fungaloids" because I thought it would be an awesome game, with such name. I see now that I was right :o)
Quem programava nessa epoca REALMENTE sabia programar. Com poucos kb de memoria faziam um jogo inteiro. Hoje os programadores só vão juntando modulos prontos e fazem jogos que ocupam dezenas de gigas de memória.
amazing considering it has 1k
my current laptop has 2048 and compared to a spectrum booting up and satrting the programming, thats shit!
Such bad use of ram these days.

@jammytgee I'm pretty sure this game needs a 16k ram pack.
I actually had a 64k memotech expansion on my zx81, not that any software used that much :-)

One of the best games EVER. Michael Orwin Tape 4, worth £4.95 for Fungaloids alone.

"Michael Orwin's ZX 81 Tapes" or something like that, is where this came from. They were very good too. You got about 10 games for about £5!

There was a type in game very similar to this called City bomber in one of the ZX81 books,
I remember typing it in playing it for hours with repetitive strain injury and my mate brought this one round on a pirate tape..gah

Who would have thought the humble ZX81 could produce a game like this...
