hahaha! my lovebird loved to inspect everything we did when we made his food too! he loved the nutiberries too...also loved the zupreme veggie pellets-which i am allergic to so i had to pour them at arms length...anything for my babies though! Had him 18 years, and he died a little over a year ago and i still miss him every day....

i wish my lovebird were to be like yours all he does all day is sleep and be lazy,but he has all kinds of toys and im always with him but when i try to play with him so he can exercise he just poops on my hand >_< and afterwards he makes like laughing sounds....not cool O_o

@Erika4all2 My lovebirds fave games to play were-chase the tissue (basically you shake a tissue at him and he'll attack it and play tug of war with it), and jingle ball (i had a ball with a bell inside it and holes on teh outside and id roll it around and he'd chase after it! You can also try getting a hamster wheel (check out the vids here on YT of birds using them), for him.

Recently we introduced a new Peach Face lovebird into our family, hes fairly young (9 weeks?) and he was hand-raised.

My Dad loves to handle her, but im concerned she might not enjoy it. She initially tries to run from our hands, but once shes inside, she doesnt seem to mind. Is she happy or freaked?

@SnowmenArePimps best thing to do is to take the bird away from the room with the cage and handle her gently for a bit as often as you see fit. as you do this more she will get used to it and learn you can be trusted and will not be afraid.

but also do not force it if she isnt in the mood for it.

always good to have some food or treat close by, this can calm them down

My peach faced lovebirds don't eat anything but their own seeds, i tried giving them apple, peach, orange, boiled eggs and it has been three months i have had the birds but they still don't come to me (come on my hand), whenever i go close to them they fly's away but than it does eat seeds from my hand only when its in the cage. Oh and they are 8 or 9 months. Can u help me? What should i do to make used to me a lot?
