the song is in drop D tuning, but the way he has his capo set up, with the low E open achieves the same tuning, because if you detune the guitar down to D then capo on the second fret, it's actually an E note, hope this isnt confusing, the beauty of this no actual tuning of the guitar, remove capo and viola, regualr tuning

i love this. You did fantastic. i was told this song was in drop D but i doubt it. My uncles got together on family gatherings and played this and sang it. This brings back memories. Thank you.

@theflow1900 Thanks. I'd forgotten I'd done this video actually. Yes - it is in drop D, although I've just put a capo on the five top strings and left the bottom opened.
