@jugo85 I'm quite sure you know that Judo and Jujutsu has its roots in Kung Fu right? It originated from Shuai Jiao which has a longer history than Judo and Jujutsu and also has more moves which are also more brutal. Anyway he didn't say they're afraid because of their kung fu, he's actually saying they're afraid of the Taiwanese swat in general with the combination of their hand 2 hand combat skills and their shooting and ferocity and all. @TheLibertard You should brush up on your chinese history sir :) Vietnam was a tributary state to China in the Ming Dynasty (from 1368 up to the beginning of the Qing) There was a revolt in Vietnam and the Chinese sent their armies to break it up which they did. However, the Chinese were too greedy and tried to take sovereignty of the country, rather than overlordship and got their asses handed to them during a new revolt. This is part of the Ming Dynasty's collapse. Along with the korean war:)

@lionied2 They already said they were trained in guns. Sometimes you can't use guns. If your in the middle of a crowd of civies, shooting is going to have huge collateral damage. You need these kinds of alternatives in such cases. Also, you can only carry so much ammo; tt should be enough but it may not be. In such a cases, you need to be able to defend yourself.

@Altonahk Well these martial arts could prove invaluable in CQC (Close Quarter Combat) but like I said, they put a little tooo much emphasis on short range, if it came to it, they could accidently hit the wrong person, which would be horrible. But overall, its a win for everybody cause they're on the people's side :)

This is all kung fu. Real kung fu isn't like the movies. And even then, this is a cleaned up demonstration version. Their actual training is much dirtier and down to earth.

Kung fu is like the original MMA, containing every aspect of fighting, from kicking to grappling, its all there. All the grappling they are doing is chin na. It is a Chinese art of grappling that has both standing throwing and ground grappling.
