i can maybe understand not wanting to eat meat cuz some people just think it's gross anyways, but going the extra mile and being vegan? come on. it's not like you have to meet the cow your milk comes from. having meat in your diet is so much more healthy anyways.
Have you seen big dairies that make the milk they sell in super markets? I went to one in Indiana, and the cows did not look happy. They are kept in a barn all day and can't even go outside. The calves are taken away from their mothers a few hours after they're born, and they keep them in dog houses that are big enough for baby cows. They may not be in a slaughter house, but the life of a dairy cow is not so glamorous.
