  • Craig Wedren is the Art Garfunkel of post-punk. Strikingly similar.

  • so soon? he lived to be 96.

  • タモリ倶楽部空耳アワー「チンチン燃えた」記念カキコ

  • Una bella canción :) de alguien que no conozco casi nada

  • this is amazing music. people usually think its wierd for a teenage boy to like this stuff but i dont care what they think. this is amazing music. it makes me sad but at the same time ridiculously happy. rad jam, simon and g-funk.

  • This is a wonderful song, and a perfect segue right into 'The Boxer'. Thank you....

  • The unusual style? The style, I would say, is that of Brazil Bossa Nova; unusual because Brazil Bossa Nova is the most beautiful, and yet the most overlooked music in the world. Or, that which is most rare, is most precious?

  • I heard that. Don't know how you picked that up. Never would have heard it if you didn't mention it.

  • Beautiful song....so multi-layered in its music. Sounds like the violins in the deep background are merrily playing their own tune, yet harmonise beautifully. Its like looking into a deep pond....

  • remember Frank Lloyd Wright .A song tribute by a former student in architecture,Garfunkel. The legacy of FLW is so important and the famous architect had a farewell song by young 60s artist. So kind and simple so long is too much for a Frank L Wright.Sure it was'nt his kind of music...but thanks Garf

  • Is there a more mellow break up song ever written than this?

  • My Dad turned me on to this in the sixties and took me to the Marin County Civic Center which is a great Wright landmark.

Oh, I miss those days... so long... so long.

  • If Matt, from MHS, is on here.. who introduced me to this song... who went to live off the grid... this is Cara... PM me already.. what are you up to?

  • seemed to be an unusual type of style!!

  • I've never heard this song before. Beautiful tribute to a great architect.

  • You got me.

  • The song isn't about Frank Lloyd Wright, Simon just used his name as a method of speaking of Garfunkel without mentioning his name directly. "All of the nights we harmonized til dawn..." etc

  • Garfunkel was also an architecture student.

  • Well yeah, that's why he used Wright's name to symbolize Garfunkel

  • Why sould Simon have a need for a method of talking to about with Garf but call him someone else who is famous worldwide? Moreover needed an altermate way to address Garf so much that the need to write a song about it arose. Now if you heard Simon say this, ok. Any other resource is not valid, not on this level.

  • @theivory1 #1 - Read the lyrics to the song, dude, it's pretty obvious. #2 - Garfunkel, who didn't write the lyrics, was a huge fan of architecture and Wright. It's called an allusion, dude. If Simon was to write a song about Garfunkel, do you really think he'd use his real name? Of course not, where's the art in that? So voila - Wright = Garfunkel. Furthermore, why would Simon write a tribute to Wright with nothing but obvious references to Garfunkel? (all of the nights we harmonized til dawn)

  • Ohh Frank... it's so loong...

  • Close your eyes and dream about a fantastic architect and fantastic singers.

  • A very beautiful melody for dreaming. Thank you big artists!

  • Thanks Frank and thanks Simon Garfunkel...so long...so long

  • If you listen closely you can hear Paul in the background saying "So long already, Artie!"

  • you're right! at first i thought you were just goofing, but i heard it too. it's at 2:58. crazy...did garfunkel even contribute to this song??

  • Well, he sang on it. And he wrote some instrument parts on S&G songs generally.

  • Genius meets genius... ahhhhhh

  • The song is unforgettable like most Simon and Garfunkel.

  • One of those songs in the jukebox of our minds that when we press play - we just let out a deep rueful sigh & think about happier & less complicated times in our lives.

  • Bossa nova!

    Simon & Garfunkel, genius!

  • Art Garfunkel once studied architecture before joining Paul Simon to sing.datizwy.

  • haha very good savage

  • jep, it´s actually about garfunkel, and if you listen closely at the end you can hear Paul screaming "so long already, Artie!" after about the 6th time he repeats "so long" at the end...hilarious XD

  • @Nillanalle...the shouting at the end of the song, "So Long Already, Artie," is actually engineer Roy Hallee. It is finally acknowledged in the new documentary of the making of this album, "The Harmony Game," which is a DVD in the newly released 40th anniversary edition of the "Bridge Over Troubled Water" album. I'm sure most people have thought it was Simon saying it all these years, but it's not.

  • @Nillanalle He's saying "So long, awready!"

  • Wright's work was supposed to be beautiful and calming, just like this brilliant song.

  • Actually it is not about Frank Lloyd Wright. It is from Simon about Garfunkel

  • i love Simon and Garfunkel.gooood song.

  • unbelievably clever combination of melody and rhythm, the beauty of it nearly hurts, thank you, Paul and Art !

  • this song is so calming...it makes me wanna lay back and close my eyes!!!good job

  • i love art's voice in this , it is just so nice and lovely and get's babys to sleep lol

  • thanks. love the track, just sang it to my baby
