  • My chest hurts.

  • god the way thom yorke uses his voice in that way is the most expressive i've ever heard. been listening to this song for 14 years now. amazing.

  • Omg! This song sounds exactly like "lamb of god" by mariln manson! But this was writen earlier :)

  • bloody hell, i'm surprised his guitar survived that beating!!!

  • when i saw them in toronto in 05 he used some of these lyrics

  • we must keep this performance secret. keep it safe.

  • Crap and this was 96??? Amazing!

  • wow...that was fantastic. thom's vocals are really amazing in this version, love it.

  • "but you don't care..." I do.

  • god bless me :'(

  • and either way i turn this is there ever since, man this is the gratest most genius piece i've ever heard, this song always hurts me so much, creepy

  • unbelievable performance. thanks for sharing it!

  • I want to know Jonny's equipment when he was using to make that high-pitched, creepy guitar sounds at the first of video.

  • Someone has to tab this version, this is the best piece of music I've ever seen.

  • climb up the... wells?

  • Christ...How did thom go from writing crap like pop is dead to this in three years? Genius

  • i like "pop is dead"....

but "climbing up" is The song.

  • How could anyone go from writing Pop is dead to this in a life time?

  • @KarmaPaym3ntPlan I don´t know, and I still can´t explain that. They are just brilliant, I don´t have any other response to that.

    Excelent version, thanks for sharing!!!

  • hey don't mess with the classics XD

  • @hannibalsloat Dude, pop is dead was decent. I'm willing to concede that its not in the same league as this, but still. Bearing in mind that Radiohead were still a post punk band at that stage...

  • @WillsMP92 I don't know man, I became a Radiohead fan shortly after the bends was released, and even in those days I couldn't take to Pablo Honey, or anything from that era. Just not my cup of tea, I guess. But as a starting point, and for that particular style, I'll admit, it was decent material, just not for me. Though, the second I heard OK Computer I knew I was listening to a landmark album. I never looked back after that. What do you think of The King Of Limbs?

  • @hannibalsloat heeeeey i like pop is dead

  • big thankyou to who ever posted this.

  • OMFG! I actually cried while watching this..

  • Radiohead songs will do that too you .

  • God I love this band!!!

  • oh so a bass synthesizer is what that sick sound is

  • bugger me how long does thom hold those two notes at the end

  • "This song features the artist formely known as Colin on the Bass synthesizer....you don't care, but we do."

    hahaha, oh Thom.

  • pretty early one

  • i wonder if the guitar slam was used for the recording as well, i do shit like that all the time they must have far better pickups than i so im sure it would sound better as well

  • Is that a protect choice sticker I see?

    What a guy.

Really good, that was awesome, and Jonnys headphones were really charming.

  • Mind=blown

  • Fucking devastating.

  • ... whoa...

  • I don't think they were ready for this. They are ahead of their time. Spine Chilling song.

  • ARM BRACE

  • wow, this just made me cry. thank you so much for putting this up

  • I nerver think I could love even more my favourite song of all times. Thank you for the vid!

  • That last two "climb up the walls" have just became one of my favourite Thom moments, what a voice (L)

  • just because he doesnt sing this song as well now perhaps... (a point for that could be made i guess) ... doesnt mean his voice has gotten even better than this! listen to reckoner especially - i'd say his voice has gotten better and more mature - lost the somewhat whiny quality it has here

  • Yeah, the somewhat whiny thing was kinda bad in 1996~1998.

But the unchangeable fact is that his voice is FUCKING GOOD.

  • isn't this just amazing and beautiful...

  • Thanks very much! I never heard this version of the song! And Thom spanking the guitar. Amazing!

  • Thanks for this, really awesome
