I guess Lufthansa has so many 747's, A340 etc named after big German cities so there's no one left ;) And a small city would perhaps not make too much sense as godfather of an A380 - so they named it after cities of their worldwide partner airlines network as Zurich for SWISS or Wien for Austrian Airlines which both belong to the Lufthansa Group as well.

THAT was a very good ceremony - very organised, indeed !
And...during the last few minutes, I felt as if I was also up there in the aeroplane, flying and enjoying the lovely view !
