If your camera has a contrast setting it would be reduce that and maybe increase the brightness if it gets too dark. You have a creative way to mount the webcam, but I too end up doing things like that often.
Very Clever! heh, Nice design. I like what you did with the hammer, cup, weight ect. that was cool. Thats an awesome Idea though. Also for lighting when taking video, You could tape a flashlight near the end of the camera so it shines at the direction you are pointing at. Good Luck. :D
Thanks for the lighting suggestion. Actually I've pretty much solved it by getting a different camera. The Aiptek 3100 did pretty lame video. I've since gotten a Kodak V570 which does very nice video even in pretty low light. I'm not crazy about the audio on it however.
