  • God the book would have been so heart breaking if they died there.

  • This is the music Bethesda should of used for Skyrim when you encounter a dragon.

  • i noticed when he said "its done" i heard a little Smeagol in him.

  • 0.42 - "It's over now" - No it isn't, there's still like another hour left...

  • i bet sam had no trouble getting the chicks after he became the man who walked to mordor and helped frodo destroy sauron

  • friendship

  • Who's cutting onions in here?

  • Comment removed

  • The bit where Sam talks about Rosie gets me every time!To me,Sam was the real hero.

  • God I love this film T___T

  • Can`t wait for The Hobbit !

  • ppl always think of them as gays... dunno how ur lives are, but this is what a real friendship looks like. they would die for eachother, and would never betray or abandon. makes me wonder if ppl nowadays still remember what true friendship is all about... is a homey hug gay as well? homey love? sounds gay too rite? but heck.. it's so easy for ppl to make fun of stuff like this, but makes me wonder why... is it fun? or is it secretly jealosy because they don't have a friend like that...

  • @DiscusvissenRocken

    Samwise Gamgee. ♥

The very best friend anyone could have. This movies emphasizes

true friendship. Anyone who cant understand Sam and Frodo's relation

probably wont be able to understand love &friendship at all & will be very

lonely in their life. At least we get it :)

  • @CupcakeAuslyn i know indeed how it is to have a friend like that yes :) and besides that i know the importance of having a friend to help bear heavy burdens in life. all those people that mock the hobbits clearly make the same mistake sauron and saruman did. they underestimate beings by their looks and size, but lack the wisdom to judge a living being on it's qualities

  • i was literally trying to watch this scene right here even though its playing on TNT right now

  • I got mad when my friend thought they were gonna kiss at 2:00 NOT GAY!!! I'm pretty sure after all that I'd be hugging my bestie too

  • @ bunnyhop or it's just for fun

  • Anyone who says that Sam and Frodo are gay are misguided and foolish. Sam and Frodo, as written by Tolkien, are 2 friends with unconditional love & loyalty for eachother, just like David and Jonathan. They would stick by eachother until the death...and that is simply a genuine, pure friendship.

Our Americanized way of thinking has conditioned us into believing everything is somehow sexual. It's unfortunate that more friendships like these do not exist for people to be able to relate.

  • @Bunnyhop777 Okay you are the coolest person I can think of right now :3

  • @Bunnyhop777 GAAAAAAAY

  • @TyeMan17 I saw you like wresting. So strong men wearing nothing but underwear and boots fighting is not gay, but this is? You suck man.

  • @The90slim90 nah, not really. it sucked after awhile. but this, GAAAAAAAY

  • @TyeMan17 Still shows us that you have no real friends.

  • @The90slim90 and you know that how?...

  • @Bunnyhop777 Great comment!

  • Indeed, the little fuck did bite of his finger

  • The most dramatic melodramatic prison romance in history.

  • that little fuck smeagal bit off his fingers

  • @TyeMan17 its call friendship

  • @TyeMan17 Friendship. I don't think you know it.

  • @The90slim90 GAAAAAY

  • @TyeMan17 FOREVER ALONE

  • @The90slim90 GAAAAAY

  • I sadly didnt see it when it first came out. But I managed to catch a special screening of the extended edition last summer. Simply the greatest theatrical experiance of my life

  • I tried explaining how I felt after seeing this movie in theaters for the first time, but I kept erasing what I wrote. Truth is, words cannot describe just how amazing this movie is in every single aspect.. Every time I meet someone who has never seen this series, I am shocked and immediately tell them THEY MUST SEE IT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. XD

  • Hope The Hobbit lives up to the other books as well as the book.

  • @ 2:25 when I first saw this, I thought, 'Aw, it's over already?' because I didn't really read the books.

  • I like these scene

  • Books of LOTR 1,2,3 : ALL AWESOME

Movies of LOTR 1,2,3: Still AWESOME

i think this is just the only book who had a very good movie

  • @juliusmonkey11 Agree on the first parts, but I suggest you check out The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile and Gettysburg. All masterpieces adapted from amazing novels.

  • my dad comes o_o 0:09

  • Wait so this isnt Phillip Seymour Hoffman?

  • Somebody please tell me why there is 3251341 orcs out fighting, but none is protecting the lava the rings only way to be destroyed and the only way to kill sauron?

i once was a hobbit but then i took an arrow to my knee

  • @SuperDarianos maybe cuz sauron thought the path of cirith ungol is guarded by his orces and that there are no other way to enter mordor except from the black gates and he always wanted to destroy the bloodline of the numenor kings so he send all his orcs so that aragorn will be killed.at least this is my opinion

  • @SuperDarianos Just like everyone else, Sauron underestimated Hobbits. He never thought anyone could get into Mordor, let alone scale Mount Doom.

  • I cannot thank you enough for uploading these videos.

  • That is truly one of the best or the best series I have watched and read. Amazing story and perfect actors.

  • I just now realized that where Frodo said "Sam, I'm glad you're with me" at the end of the first film, he here says "I'm glad to be with you, Samwise Gamgee", as if he is honoured to be in the presence of him. Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but I thought it showed just how deep their friendship has become. Sam is no longer a gardener, but a friend, a hero.

  • @solstickeflickan It's kind of like how soldiers form a brotherly bond after going through heavy traumatic experiences. They've seen so much violence and horror together that they've become family, they've shared an experience albeit something awful. But out of that terrible thing comes a beautiful friendship.

  • @solstickeflickan I think he realizes that Sam was the one that really resisted the rings temptation to the very end and without him, all would have been lost. Good remark, thought!

  • How I feel when I finish my math homework (9gag)

  • they died?

  • @ojovani No Gandalf comes and saves em

  • @ojovani I suggest you watch the movies, you won't regret it. Best trilogy I've ever seen.

  • i dont understand why they didnt ride the eagles to mount doom and destroy the ring it would have been much easier but not as epic

  • @1R1SHxSN1P3R The eagles don't carry anyone, normally. And they definetley wouldn't carry such an evil thing as the ring.

  • @1R1SHxSN1P3R The Ringwraiths would have whupped their asses. So would Sauron, for that matter.

  • @1R1SHxSN1P3R Because the eagles are Maia, which were an equivalent of Gandalf or Sauron, a lesser God or Valar. They probably had the same fear as gandalf, if they held the ring the desire to possess it would overwhelm them. Since Sauron is a more powerful Maia, a servant of Morgoth, who was one of the greatest Valar, he is much more powerful than the rest of them.

  • You know...Someone can only dream to have someone like Sam in their life.I sure know i would want that.A loyal and trustworthy friend

  • @Andulik1980 Yes, but also someone who values thinking, intellect, being yourself and accepts you for who you are and probably has shared interests, sam is a the full package :D

  • Am I the only one that thinks Frodo is the like the cutest guy in this video :)

  • This is the moment when Frodo realizes that he can remember everything that made his life worthwhile.

But even more so is that Sam can finally let all the pent-up emotions , which he locked away for the sake of the mssion, out.

Same can finally stop being the leader, the one who did most of the work and ate the least food. He can finally stop being stronger than anyone would've ever thought he could be. He can be what he wants to be, just a simple Hobbit, and think about the life he gave up.

  • I watched Return of the King on the day of its release in the cinema. At this part of the film I was thinking, this is the best cinematic experience I have ever witnessed.

  • @NottinghamForest22 yes! i didnt see any of them in theaters but i watched them a year or two after they came out on DVD...I saw the Harry Potter finale in theaters in August and i thought that was one of the best, if not the best, cinematic experience i have ever witnessed. LoTR and HP FTW!!!

  • @NottinghamForest22 Thank God the Academy had their heads on straight with Return of the King!

  • What is the name of the song played at this part?!

  • @AllThoseDrums Into the West

  • How is Sam still chubby after all that? :S

  • "If I was ever to marry someone, it would've been her. It would've been her!"

  • I love both Frodo and Sam. Not in a fangirl way, but in a 'Gee, there's some great characters right there' kind of way. Sam is clearly the epitome of awesome. He rocks. He doesn't even have to be violent or do any big, showy acts to make it obvious, he's just AWESOME. And Frodo gets through it all, with Sam's help of course, but it has a lot to do with the characters personality.

Still, if we're talking epic LOTR bromances, I'm on team Merry and Pippin and second breakfast.

  • One of the greatest scenes in cinema history.

  • @somethinglacking1 YES! what do you think is the greatest?

  • in titanic both lay on a door in cold water.

in lord of the rings both lay on a rock on hot lava.

    both 11 oscars

    playtime over 3 hours ......nice

  • gollum Is the greatest hero ever!! He destroyed the evil

  • @TheAbbzz nope he just jumped to catch it... so he could have it for himself...

  • i wish sam was my brother! =p

  • Now this wouldn't happen, but if they ended the movie right here, I would be PIST OFF! lol.

  • what's the damn song at 1.15

  • @Ximsja The "Tear Your Heart Out" theme

  • @TwistedCyberChick I don't find it ?

  • @Ximsja Hahaha sorry. It was a joke. It's actually called "The Eagles" with Renee Fleming singing the solo later on, and it's included on the LOTR complete recordings. It's not on the standard 1 disc soundtrack. Hope that helps. ^^

  • i watched this movie yesturday xD

  • Anyone notice the extra hand at 2:26? Since Elijah already had his two arms around Sean and Sean's two arms (one in front and one around the back of Elijah's shoulder), where did the extra hand come from? I've always wondered about it haha.

  • Screw all of the films in modern times that are said to portray all the emotion EVAR. Lotr is the only film that I'll shamelessly cry at.

  • This is TRULY one of the greatest scenes in cinematographic history. The acting is unbelievable, the music is phenomenal, and the way that the plot led up to this point leaves me with chills every single time I see the movie.

Tolkien was genuinely a genius, and the people that adapted his work to film should be applauded. I can never stop watching this masterpiece.

  • wats the name of that mountain at the beginning? i cant find it!

  • @JHMSmarweenaWY Mount Doom

  • 0:09 Oh, a piece of Gollum is thrown out the door

  • I want to live my life so I'm there for my friends like Sam was there for Frodo.

  • The Lord of the rings is pretty much about Sam. That is how Tolkien wrote it, the entire point was that the anti-hero WAS the hero. It is not a story about war, it is a story about love and friendship.

  • My best friend is someone who I grew up with all my life, if I said I loved him, that wouldn't make me gay.

  • I wish i was Rosie Cotton

  • I don't understand where people are getting the homosexual implications from. I mean, a lot of people that have commented here get it right by saying that Sam is a perfect representation of a brother, neighbour, friend, etc. So, why do people still think they're gay? This is love, yes, but not a homosexual type. Sam is one of, if not the, most significant characters in the story and his relationship and friendship with Frodo is unfathomably unbreakable.

  • the dis likes are orc's

  • manly tears falls

  • 3 orks survived

  • @Idurion229 WTF?? o.O

  • @Idurion229 and 1 nazgul!

  • @Aldarinn THE WITCH KING OF ANGMAR! GAH HE RETURNS! THE TALES ARE TRUE! NO LIVING MAN CAN SLAY HIM!

  • @Idurion229 actually a lot of orcs survived, but later they got hunted down

  • @tigris14 He's making a reference to the people who disliked... or were you just fucking around with that comment?

  • @Crywolf943 i wasnt fucking around i got the joke, no need of explaining

  • @Idurion229 6 now lol

  • @Idurion229 at least 2 of them had kids...

  • @MrTyrant67 The end of all things

  • I saw this movie in theaters. I was in the 3rd grade. It was the most epic thing ever.

  • what is the soundtrack?

  • Sam is the pinnacle of what a bro should be

  • @ReverendDiabetes if you were a bit gay.

  • @SimonCheeseman you're an idiot. This is brotherly love. If you grew up with someone like Sam, you would cry and hug when you feel as happy as they are.

  • @ReverendDiabetes i agree he represents what a true neighbor is just like the parable of the good samaritan in the Bible

  • @ReverendDiabetes It's a shame that he was much more 2d in the book, more of a supporting character than a main.

  • @VineFynn Tolkien made it so quite on purpose.

  • @Etrajbe I know...? I'm just saying. Peter Jackson adapted the book for hollywood, and thats quite understandable.

  • @VineFynn No no, i mean the way sam was made in the film is EXACTLY How it is in the book, but tolkien left it to us to make up Sams 3D based on his actions (wich tolkien made an obvious tasks) Often finding something in people we know or in ourself to fill him. Tolkien used this technique often to create SEEMINGLY shallow characters , but having them turn into so much more.

  • @Etrajbe Oh? I never looked at it that way, although I did realise that the actions were the same in the book.

Shame Peter changed Gandalf and Gimli though, they were indeed better in the book.

  • @VineFynn Hmm, i agree, especially on Gimli. But they are still both so great in the book and movie that i never thought of it like that, i just feel like it truly is the greatest filmatization that we will perhaps ever see.

  • 0:30 "It's gone"

Yes Frodo, your finger is gone...

  • for a guy who had his finger bit off he sure stopped bleeding fast!

  • @Tmartin1438 Probably cauterized it in the lava. lol

  • @Tmartin1438 It is hobit ! What do you expect ? It is more than meets the eye !

  • This is where I start to cry... to never stop until the end.

  • @TheTDCCrew I love Harry Potter AND Lord of the Rings. Quite trying to create a competition; it is possible to be a fan of both, you know.

  • WHERES THE HOBBIT! I NEED IT NOW

  • This movie is sheer brilliance! Undeniable perfection.

  • I think Saruman joined Sauron to dislike the video.

  • He just lost a finger, but it seemingly doesn't hurt.... hmmm.

  • @buciallstar he was through so much and the weight/bear of the ring was still his to bear.

  • @buciallstar when I was nine years old, I lost a little bit of my right hand finger, that was smashed on a door in school, because of a child's play. Anyways, in the moment and for a hour or something, I didn't felt anything at all, and I was pretty conscious. (sorry for my English)

  • @SaRaHtheBlackStar

hmmm, I remember my cousin when he was 12/13/14 or something, and we were at the community house of our church, and he practically destroyed his finger in one of the heavy doors, and he was crying for probably 3 days (ambulance had to come and had to operate on his finger). But yes often at heavy injuries, your body ignores the pain, so you can run away from the danger. But a scene with "DAMN! My Finger!" would have been nice anyway ;)

  • @buciallstar

I think at a moment like in this movie you wouldn't give a shit about the finger honestly :p

  • Comment removed

  • @teamdamon91girl

?? how is this related to me or what i said lol

  • @namcoplayer999 wtf sarauman died

  • What a beautiful and unique honor to be at the end of all things, yet have the chance to spend it with someone you enjoy that much. Truly extraordinary, I believe.

  • In my opinion its sam who's the hero cause he is the only reason frodo stayed alive

  • Does anyone else shares the opinion that Frodo is NOT a hero but was treated as one? He was corrupted and refused to throw the One Ring in order for it to be destroyed.I highly disliked that.I don't know about hobbits, but a ring no matter how powerful, cannot beat a human's free will-unless he is already corrupted like Isildur.

The real "hero" is actually Gollum-the Ring would not be destroyed otherwise.

  • @7heaven100 Yeah I disliked Frodo too and his role. I think though that Sam was the true hero though

  • @The000URBANSHADOW well take it from frodo's point at least he kept going and didnt turn back, now i do think that sam was definately a hero, but no one was never THE hero, in this movie, and when u do something like this u always need someone with you u can never do the things he did alone. so um...there u have it

  • @7heaven100 the free will of men is often corrupted by power... only few men could resist the ring, as they knew the ring would eventually seduce them with it's power, only to betray them in the end. there are exceptions, but most humans often give up their free will because of their greed and hunger for power

  • i can't beleive sam is still fat after that

  • Do they all think that Frodo & Sam were killed when the volcano erupted?

  • frodo was an asshole all the dirty job was made by sam and smigol...

  • I would have been happy if the film had ended there to be honest, I mean the actual ending was awesome don't get me wrong but in the theatre when it went to black half the audience got up becuase they thought this was the end, it was so good.

  • Frodo and Sam's friendship is so pure, true, and lovely. Tolkien was an absolute genius when it came down to writing about real friendship in hard times :) There probably won't ever be another great friendship like Frodo and Sam's (unless you count Harry and Ron lol) that is so beautifully well written and makes your heart melt.

  • "it would have been her" *cue balling eyes out sequence*

  • Does anyone know the song that plays in the beginning when Sam and Frodo are running out. It's so damn good. It really fits the scene and gives the feeling that it really is over.

  • @amitnayna01

Apparently there is an extend RoTK soundtrack. Someone posted the piece you're asking about, apparently called the Crack of Doom.

    watch?v=YnNkKEqBEUo&feature=related

  • @JulyForToday Thanks man! I found it just a few days ago but thanks anyways dude. I love that part of the track. I think it fits extremely well with that scene. The whole 11 hours of the series just flashes in my eyes at that part. Wierd, I know, but it's true. It just calming because the whole harsh adventure is finally over and the music just does a great job of telling that as well. It's sad too because the series is coming to an end. Well, I'm gonna stop rambling so thanks anyways dude.

  • download film link

  • i love the chorus in this movie.....so beautiful

  • remember no Sam no Frodo

  • @nanohawk2

remember no frodo no life ;)

  • Man, anyone else getting goosebumps and a bit teary-eyed watching this??? GOOD times... the best ;'D

  • @TheTDCCrew ...not really, most people who are potter fans, also love lord of the rings, it's more of twilight fans who dislike lord of the rings :P

  • When Sam said he would have love to marry Rosie... made me cried :(

  • @TheTDCCrew

lol I'm a Harry Potter Fan. But I love The lord of the rings. AMAZING MOVIE HAS EVER SEEN!!!

  • 2 guys who watched this video are orks

  • Hornswaggle just found out his ancestors were hobbits. HORNSWAGLE IS A BAGGINS.

  • FRODO IS GORGEOUS!!!!

  • I love the fact that Sauron was such a scary, evil, destructive guy, and he just got owned by four hobbits. :D GO frodo and sam!

  • The Hobbit will have to do well to be as epic as this!

  • It's a bit like the demise of Rupert Murdoch...

  • Sobbed my bloody heart out when I saw this in the cinema!

  • Frodo: Oh Sam, oh Sam...

Sam: Just STFU and take you GAY-ASS to this god damned Mountain!!!

    Sam is hero!

  • such a good film that no one gives a shit for it's differences from the book like when people bitch about the harry potter films!
