  • I have this cartoon in VHS and DVD version and it's not even close how good it looks in this upload , I am surprised how clear and vivid the colors are in this upload. I am 60 years old and i still enjoy this cartoon. It seems like yesterday when i first saw it in the theaters. Thanks

  • So many plotholes. O_O

  • with the enourmous resurgence of 3-d films in recent years, it's surprising that cartoons such as this aren''t shown in theaters before the feature films.

  • He was ONE of those kings, 'nairb'. it's been a long time since I saw Max Fleischer's version....probably "King Bombo", as you've noted.

  • Sid Raymond, Jackson Beck and Alan Swift provided the voices of some of the characters in this CASPAR cartoon. Jackson Beck was the voice of King Luna. Beck died in 2004 age 92; Raymond died in 2006 age 97; Swift died in 2010 age 86.

  • This cartoon was done in 3-D.

  • Thanks for the upload, I had this on vhs and watched it all the time when I was a kid, brings back memories!

  • @butterflywings2004 Yeah! It's got a pink cover right?

  • jador

  • look,he didn't pay the money!xD

  • did you type in boo?

  • The Tree People remind me of the Ents from LOTR.

  • Notice how the king also sounds like Brutus from the old Popeye cartoons?

  • cool nice quality. Thanks! Brings back so much memories:)

  • 4:35 PW3ED

  • casper is autistic

  • @rhinomantis88 Why do you say that?

  • @StarBoy62 just a joke, im autistic and im just wondering because hes scary and everyone runs away from him he has no friends, i know it was just a joke

  • @rhinomantis88 ah ok...

  • j'adord casper

  • anyone notes that casper has eye lashes?

  • Yeah...so does Spongebob...they're the only two male characters in 'toons that have eyelashes; only females otherwise. Personally, I always wondered about Casper and Spongebob. I'm just sayin'...

  • oh man i used to watch this all the time

  • I watched this when I was 2-4years old. I loved this cartoon.

  • The Treemen was the freakiest cartoon of my childhood.

  • Isn't Casper actually a dead kid? Weird.

  • XD I know this was in 3D, but 0:25 was really creepy.

  • Timing!

  • lol my mom said i cried for casper because of the way his brothers use to treat him xD

  • Casper was my all time fav!

  • I used to have a VHS cassette that contained this episode when I was little. But I don't remember any of the characters talking. :\ Other than that, this is one of my favorite Casper episodes. :)

  • casper please marry my sister

  • but all in all my favorite casper cartoon......

  • im turning the treemen intro to a rap song sample......it sound great........

  • Good that he went to the moon not inside NASA lol...

  • No wonder he's tired, he just flew all the way to the frickin moon!

  • lol so long time ago!

  • Good thing Casper doesn't have some prime directive against interfering with other worlds.

  • I never KNEW there were PEOPLE living in MOON :-O

  • AH G-G-G-GHOST!!!!!

  • so cute

  • Casper....Great Cartoon

  • So the first person from earth was Casper!!!

  • I like this Casper better than the depressed one. The tree men used to scare the crap out of me when I was a kid lol.

  • Treemen on the moon... honestly what the fuck?

  • Well Casper is good.

But I am confused. Why the hell is there water on the moon? And how can those moon men have fire? I know it's cartoon but seriously? Water and fire on a moon? And those trees too. But of course this is for the kids and they don't think about the moon's atmosphere on the moon.

  • long live the King of the Moon, but he is so fat :))

  • long live the King of the Moon, but he is so fat :))

  • poor casper, it's a shame that everyone gets scared when they se him

  • This cartoon was originally shown in 3-D

  • You post such FUN and CLEAR-TO-VIEW stuff! THX..

  • They give Casper no respect. No respect at all. I wouldn't be scared of him! What's to be scared of?

  • This is definitely one of the most memorable episodes ever!

  • those tree men used to give me the creeps when i was little

  • 0:42 - 0:49

    LOL.

It feels more like a Looney Toons moment, honestly! Funny to know that in all this good storytelling and animation, there's some good comedy as well.

Why is he floating anyway? I'm still laughing about that.

  • I use to roll on the floor laughing at the tree men when I was a kid. This is definitley a true classic.

  • i still have this episode on vhs somewhere...love it

  • That title screen looks like the title of Dawn of the Dead... wonder if this image inspired George Romero.

  • 1:16 on his way to the moon casper passes up Saturn. Umm...

  • ninja9rr

da upload kawalo da para dera manan

  • sana may friendly ghost tlaga....

  • love this cartoon

  • The king reminds me of King Bombo from Gulliver's Travels.

  • All the time I was watching this as a small child I missed the subtext of the dead little boy Caspar. It only occured to me much later when I saw the movie with Christina Ricci. It made me feel sad.

  • I loved this episode when I was a kid. :)

  • people say that ghost r scary bt exapt the friendly ghost casper

  • casper is very friendly rite so i luv him HE IS SO CUTE!!!!!

  • @roanuge My favorite cartoon!

  • casper is too gud i luv her oh my god hey other ghost r too bad then casper oh my god i luv him he is so cute

  • it realy boo oh my god!!!!!!!

  • Thanks a lot. Love this

  • He probably would have been able to scare the wood off the invading trees.

  • I use to have this on a vhs tape

  • How is it that Casper who is made of ectoplasm or mist or what not, interact with solid matter?

This one was particularly memorable as it was part of the bumper for Casper on NYC's Channel 5 ("the fun's on Channel... the fun's on Channel... the choice for fun is FIVE!") so it was a treat to see the actual episode when it ran. Constant tree-men were kind of a tease (and very disturbing at that)

  • i remember this

  • casper failed to notice that he was instantly jailed and made an enemy of the state on site, and that the very prision he was held in was made of wood(dead tree people) as was the front gate. i'm not so sure the tree people were the bad guy's.

  • i love these i have old vhs tapes of shit loads of casper i have this one too its a classic

  • The king looks allot like the king from the animated Gulliver's Travel movie.

  • Good call, because that is indeed the King of Blefescue. Famous sometimes referred back to some of their old cels in a cost-cutting measure. This was originally a Paramount "Stereotoon" (a 3-D Casper Noveltoon). The original 3-D print with the Paramount Jack-in-the-Box, Stereotoon tag, Famous Studios tag, credits, title and closing Paramount mountain closing logo are all intact in an archived print in the Library of Congress (none of that Harvey stuff).

  • gostei muito adorei foi otimo muito obrigado

  • wasn't this in 3-D when it first came out?

  • Have been told so

  • Yes. This was one of two cartoons from Paramount that was made in 3-D or Stereocolor. The other was "Popeye - The Ace of Space", from 1953.

  • Wow thanks for posting. Haven't seen this since I was a tike & that was a long time ago. I remember this! The tree men scared the hell out of me. I was an impressionable lad & this one gave me nightmares. I'd imagine those creatures marching down the dead end street in front of our house @ night during a storm to get my family & me. Talk about an overactive imagination! You can usually count on YouTube to have mind blowers from your past. Closest thing to a time machine we have. Cheers!

  • I wonder if this or any of the Casper cartoons and Noveltoons sold to Harvey still exist with their original Paramount titles? One thing I've noticed and do not like is that after the Harvey takeover, all of the characters began to look alike. At least in the days of Paramount and Famous Studios when this short was made, Casper, Little Audrey and the rest were very distinctive from one another.

  • Mr.Swift would mc WPIX TV Ch.11 NYC's

"Popeye Show" as "Capt.Allen"from 1956 to

    1960.

  • Messers:Beck And Swift would be reunited again

for VO work on"King Leonardo & His Short

    Subjects!".

  • Mr.Swift is also the voice of"The Footman"

    who introduces"King Luna"to our ghostly

    little hero.

  • Mr.Sid Raymond does the voices of the

    sidewalk telescope vendor..and one of

"King Luna's"guards. Mr.Swift is the guard at the gates and

Mr.Beck is the voice of"King Luna".

  • Dear From The Sidelines,

    "King Luna"ins this 3d "Casper"Movie cartoon

    is not"King Little of Liliput"From"Gulliver's

    Travels"..The character is"King Bombo of

    Blefescue".

  • I loved the part when Casper layed the smackdown on those treemen.

  • i love this one..i watch this all the time when i was little... haha

  • I used to love to act this whole movie out when i was littel great video

  • This was originally produced in 3-D, and released in 1954 {with Paramount's other 'Stereotoon', "Popeye-The Ace Of Space"}. "King Luna" is actually the "King of Lilliput" that was featured in Max Fleischer's "Gulliver's Travels" (1939)- same character design. Jackson Beck and Allen Swift provide some voices here...

  • @fromthesidelines No he was King Bombo of the Blefiscules from GULLIVER'S TRAVELLS.

  • Great uplaod. Upload more soon.

  • That cartoon is one of the five Casper cartoons that are in the Public Domain. other cartoons that are in the PD were "The Friendly Ghost", "There's Good Boos Tonight", "Spooks Over Africa" and "A Haunting We Will Go".

  • Thanks. I haven't seen this since I was a kid.

  • love this ... the tree men are attacking!!!!
