@angelmassb No, solar flares can't penetrate the atmosphere. They simply start messin' around with our geomagnetic field, causing an aurora of lights and maybe cause a power outage in some areas. They aren't heated flares, as their temperature drops dramatically as it travels through space being surrounded by 2.725K which is -270.425 or -454.765 F. Absolute Zero, the state where it can't be any colder,is at 459.67F. Solar flares don't cause heat damage,just geomagnetic disruption temporarily.

It is simply the Mayan New Year, I believe its going to be like ba'aak tun 13 or 14 or some shit. Also, Nostradamus has predictions that counter the belief about 2012. He said that after the fall of the 3rd Anti-Christ (Mabus) there would be peace for 1000 years. Still no 3rd antichrist, so were good. :P
