Well I'm glad I didn't bother with the sequels they were fine but didn't came close to the first. The original is a million dollar masterpiece, the second tried too hard to become big like the first and the third one did much better and was true to the original.

@cbsteffen When Robert Zemeckis and Bob Gale decided to make BTTF Part II & III after the succes of BTTF. They wrote Part II & III at the same time so they add this personality trait to explain the morality at the end of Part III when Marty save himself from the accident.

@cbsteffen Actually in the first film, no one tells to Marty that he is a chicken or yellow so obviously he doesn't say "Nobody calls me chicken" because there was need to:). But in reality as duke6991 told you, the writers invented his "chicken" problem while writing the 2nd and 3rd film.
