  • Did you use a special type of rope ladder or just a average one?

  • @SamzSKILLZ na this is just one i made i use a special grappling hook though

  • the grappling hooks are cool but i like using the Shuko & Ashikos for tree climbing.

  • the grappling hooks are coll but i like using the Shuko & Ashikos for tree climbing.

  • just learn how to climb the tree lol

  • You have some real deal skills man... How did you make the rope ladder? Do you have a video on it? This video is awesome. Thanks for putting your skills on video...

  • i wish i had a tree like that

  • Where do you get the ladder part?

  • shinobimystic i found the best way to tie knots for climbing. i got 2 ropes laid them parallel to each other then from botom to top i slacked one rope and tied a knot then slacked the other and tied a knot and so on. in the end you get knots to put your feet even when the rope is tense. i cant believe they charge you 50 dollars to buy this kind of rope ladder:)

  • yeah, that sounds about how I made mine. Thanks for watching and sharing.

  • shinobimystic i just used a grapling hook to climb a tree and the grapling hook twisted and broke hitting me over the head:) people beware because alot of motherfuckers sell no good grapling hooks. i wish i could find a rope ladder somewhere

  • yes that is why I have tried to warn many about these cheap pieces of crap they sell. They are not safe. Are you ok my friend? Yes in my newer grappling hook training series I use a military grade one. I made that rope ladder, but you can find them at tactical police equipment stores, or army and navy stores.

  • thanks shinobymystic for your concern. honestly i dont know how i didnt get hurt that hook hit me right on the back of the head and the arm. lucky i guess. never buy amazon grapling hooks people, unless you plan on killing yourselves.

  • yeah I had my cheap hook break like that a long time ago. And now I just use the cheap ones for target practice, throwing it.

  • from my experience: better than ladders is learning the blake hitch to climb. you dont need grapling hooks with that u dont need knots only a good rope and i emphasise that, use a good soft and sturdy rope, no cheap ropes. shinobi mystic you should demonstrate climbing with blake notch. other sugestions check out clibing a tree tying a knot on top of the tree then tying the other end of that rope to another location/tree. then rope crawn:) thats some serious fun. greetings shinobimystic

  • those are great suggestions I really look foward to trying that in the future. Thanks for your help.

  • you are the man. fellow ninjas unite:) i wish you lived closer to me so we could hangout and share experience. i live in mass. cheers

  • dude I live in Mass too.

  • @cryostation Thanks bro.

  • i am goine to get 1 off this

  • cool, tell me how it goes.

  • where can i get these type of equipment and around how much by the way, nice ,cool videos ur a genius

  • I made the ladder, but I bought the grappling hook. Look in my grappling hook climbing video playlist for more information.

  • Nice bro...

  • thanks.

  • that would be a fun tree to climb

  • yeah it is good

  • sick vid 5 stars :D

  • thanks for watching.

  • I'm having trouble leaping, or even juking, backwards while in the stance with your strong arm and leg forward. In one of your later videos you said that you were always supposed to use that stance, but in the earlier ones, you use a traditional (left hand/leg forward) stance. What would you suggest to help, and is there anything else you can teach me about stances?

  • Not always supposed to it is just the most used. You kind of release the weight backward and have a sort of controlled fall and catch youself and slide your forward foot back. Look on my channel for video's about stances I think that should help some.

  • If you have any more questions send me a message, or I might make a video for you friend.

  • I prefer the one rope grapling hook, less obvious and easier to hide... the only thing is you need to have more muscle to be able to use it fast and quite (In arms)

  • yes, I agree with you. But I always wanted to make one of these ladders. It works pretty well.

  • Probably had to throw it 50 times before the hook caught like that. It would have been faster just to climb the tree without using the hook.

  • like 3 times, I had just made it and was getting used to it. This year I will show you guys how to use it for real.

  • Where the hell would you use it for real?!

    Grabble up some ones house?

    lol

  • I used it to get my neibors cat out of a tree. With some tuna fish, but the ninja would use it to set up a point of concealment and watch or stalk the enemy army.

  • some trees, especially tall ones don't have strong branches until 10-20 feet up. also no one would think you were up there if there aren't low branches. great concealment, great video!

  • yeah that is true, thanks for watching friend.

  • please post a vid of a close up of your harness and overall setup. thx

  • I will in the future thanks for watching friend.

  • I've gotta say the footwork drills don't look very functional atall. It lacks the principle of aliveness. Moving with that slowness lifting your feet way off the ground, in such a straight presictable path isn't going to be of any use to an opponent surely? Does something like that need to be practised?

  • its good shiniobi but hook lader is little to fixsble to much

  • o and get the clip kind

  • do u use the indoor or outdoor tabi cuzz outdoor seems to last me petty good and they have amazing traction, indoor is a lot softer wen runnig but outdoor are kooler :)

  • I use the outdoor tabi with the velcro and that stuff just doesn't last long enough.

  • im suprised it didnt land on ya head =D

  • Yeah I only landed on my back.

  • google-ayyawear tabi!

  • Excellent!5 stars

  • cool video

  • thats really handy to have if you need to get up in the big tree! very nice!!!!

  • no tabi?

  • Yeah no tabi, I have the Velcro kind and my heel keeps popping out the back of them. And they are very difficult to wear now. Does any one know of a great brand of Tabi boots, usually a $50 pair only lasts me one season of training.

  • For me they lasted a Good year of Training. My Grabing power is going down at fast Rate. Only this is first real year of training. Also a Good Idea... Get the mike you know the Gel Things that way help also. Also Where can I get a Rope latter?

  • i made that rope ladder buddy. I like the idea of using jell pads. My tabi velcro just doesn't hold that well.

  • Thank you for sharing your knowledge, master.

My only question is where did you get the grappling hook?

  • very nice vid!
