I think Shadow the Hedgehog used the same game engine as this but modified.The game models,the occasional CGI cutscenes,the speed everyone goes,but I will agree the grinding in that game was perfect.

when grinding you have to hold the grind button and tilt the analog stick to lean in order to keep sonic from falling over and that helps you keep up speed, when sonic is 3x level up the turtles can be flipped by a 3x homing attack instead of the tornado,after sonic team blast if enimies are still around go near them,jump in the air as sonic and press the tornado button to do a nother frenzy of homing attacks........thought id give ya thos few tips ;-)

question:I have not played sonic heroes that much (I don't own it) But would you say that the grinding controls are better or worse than SA2B's griding controls...because I found them REALLY unresponsive... like holding right all the way when you were gliding off to the left would sometimes do NOTHING!

The grinding controls in Shadow do have one fatal flaw Sonik. Shadow will not always latch onto a rail, even when you hit it directly with your feet. This is only apparent in one level though(that stupid Pumkin Hill sequel).

I think Sonikdude got it right when he said that Ratchet and Clank had the best grinding rails system ever. I found it really hard to grind in this game and the only way i was able to make sure i would survive the sections was to go into flying formation on every rail...
