Learn to play the songs you love. Learn to play EVERY lick and EVERY chord in your song. With enough songs learnt you will begin to see the patterns to music, especially if you have varied music tastes. You will pick up the techniques, see how chords work together, and where to use which notes. Plus you'll build your skills, song by song. You're already on the internet, learn ALL you can here. Don't forget that the pros you see on youtube have spent years on this thiing they love
@thehotaranda2 learning through songs is a very long and painful method. much faster to learn music, theory and technique and ear training. you will have learned every song.
@TreyDee45 same fucking here so much to learn; chords, notes, scales, modes, keys like where the hell do you start? lol i just learned the basic chords a,c,d,g,e,em,am and if you can F its kind of tricky because its a bar chord and kinda hurts when your learning but with those chords you can play damn near any song. i really want to learn how to come up with solos and play by ear. ANY TIPS FOR THE ROOKIES GUYS?
