MW3 developers: since we fired our lead developers, lets decide to fuck over our fans and completely ignore that oscar-award winning line in MW2 and let the storyline unfold with Russia attacking every country by itself with no consequences.....So fake and boring

because treyarch's games were set during world war 2 and various times between 1945 and 1970 - technology wasn't as advanced during those times...you can't expect a WW2 game to have AC130 missions can you?

CoD 2 was mad by IW, set during WW2, and made before WaW, but it was still infinately better. treyarch don't make good games. end of story.

Even though I thoroughly enjoy Call of Duty 4's online multiplayer, I still believe that Treyarch's Call of Duty games are much better than Infinity Ward's. Treyarch's games show the true, brutal side of war - limbs being blown off and soldiers being ripped apart by machine gun fire. Infinity Ward even had the nerve to put a terrorist mission in one of their games - why would a company put a level where you can kill Russian civilians in cold blood? I just don't know...

2, .waw completely ripped off CoD 4, and treyarch even had the damn to copy perks, game modes, and gameplay style. IW's games not only play much smoother, with little or no lag, but is extremely entertaining to play. i, for one, don't play Cod for gore. black ops was much more of an improvment, but modern warfare and its sequels will always be better, unless treyarch tries a completely new idea

But then you can say MW2 ripped off WaW but added a lot more to the formula, and how is it bad if Treyarch copied the gameplay style of Call of Duty 4. Every Call of Duty is a blatant rehash of its predecessors, but with new campaigns and characters. We've had four WW2 CoDs and two MW CoDs, and everyone knew we needed something to ease the time before the inevitable MW3 release, so Treyarch released a game about the Vietnam War, which in my knowledge has never been done.

@ChernovFan100 i never said that treyarch wasn't original. personally, i love how the time frame is a new idea. the dolphin dive, removal of stopping power, they all make the game an interesting invention. what i'm talking about is the single player. the once laggy multiplayer, after a series of patches, is now fun, and zombies is still a fun minigame.gowever no patches fixed anyuthing about the single player, and the campaign never excited me where infinaty ward did. thats what i am saying

the problem with treyarch's games is that the time they were set have an impact on the number of set-pieces that can be realistically included in the campaigns. The MW series has an advantage because its set in modern day

i actually avoided holographic and scoped weapons in that mission pretty useless after that EMP. usually i would always swap iron sights for holographic sights. Best mission ever and i loved that music when running from the white house field to the roof absolutely too good

A lot of people say that Hammer Down Protocal is a detonation of a nuclear unit. It's not. As I flew F-15's in the airforce, (I fly a UH-60A seahawk now) I would know. Hammer Down Protocal is a last resort, were getting over runned so kill everything in the area type of thing. I have been called for htis too. It is an extreme Napalm nerve agent that burns 10,000 degree's hotter than the regular stuff. An example of this is on 28 Week's Later where the F/A-18 hornets light up the city with MAG26.

There are epic moments in the game, like this one, but most of the storyline was a pile of birdshit, unlike CoD 4. Don't get mad at me, I speak the truth. I liked the music and the storyline was better than BFBC2 but it was still very stupid.

Also, I wonder how many people know where that part with the flares draws its inspiration from.... what movie it refers to.

This mission next to the final mission was probably the most epic and moving of the whole game... The deploying green flares while your comms chatter says theyre about to destroy the most treasured landmark in the US to save it from itself only to pop the flares at the last second and see more green flares appear across the city... BRILLIANT and epic in my opinion. Gave me chills.

I kept thinking that a white house had a backup generator, but... Wouldn't that get fried too? My only guess is that the White House has a power supply really far underground, that way it can't get hit by an EMP.
