do these have a good low end because i want to put them on a 50's classic vibe strat to get rid of a little of the really thin high end but still keep great treble
hi-can u tell me the difference between ordiary texas specials and custom shop ones as i have both to install in a guitar and wonder if their is a difference in sound between both -what pedals are you using
hey greg, people, help me please. I need a decent strat so I´m in chase of someone like this... (SImilar in look, I mean) or a deluxe daphne blue.... which one you will buy in my place?
@hungerstriker27 look at the fender road worn series, i have the same thing as this guy. For about $900 you get a great guitar with out breaking the bank, I love mine granted it is not a true american made relic or even a vintage guitar, but for what you pay it is fantastic. I've had mine for about 10 months now and it is getting even better and better as i play it. The neck is the biggest thing for me, I could care less about how it looks but I the neck is great!
well, finally it was a strat deluxe in daphne blue with maple fretboard. Like the one clapton uses in this days. Not that edition but, well.... same specs... I love it. Later on I will go for this one.
Hey man Nice Vids and killer tone but u should put some more Overdrive in a video like this i mean with this kind of Backing Tracks well thats my opinion take it or not Cya !
@Jjjj187 It depends on the sound you want. These are very powerful high output pups with a lot of midrange. I personally dont think they have the sparkly tone that you get from a lot ot strats which is why i'm going to change mine in my Roadhouse strat at some point. It all depends on the tone you're looking for. These are great for SRV style blues.
@Jjjj187 Keep what's in there as they are a bit more versatile. With a little eq you can "mid them up". EQ;in highs into middy pu's like Texas Specials is less effective & adds noise . Texas Specials are good but limited on the high end .
This sounds nice. But I must say...I was torn between this and the Squier Classic Vibe. I figured why pay 8-900 dollars for a Mexican made Strat? You can get an American made Highway 1 for that....so I went with the Classic Vibe, less than half the price and just as good as the other two.
@GregsGuitars Nice. I have a Dimarzio Mo'Joe humbucker in the bridge position on my Strat and was thinking about putting Texas Special's in the mid and neck position, probably sounds like a crazy combination. Do you know how the output level on the Texas Special's are?
@ShredderGuitar2 Already have the road worn, great guitar, now I'm looking to buy some talent like his! The thing about players like this is they generally make anything sound great. Great playing, makes me want to cut my fingers off!
I have the Carbon copy as well. it's kinda hard to dail in. seems you caint set the Regen pas 12 or it will go crazy on you. Does yours do this aswell?
@Abewyly1: Any analog pedal starts to self oscillate, when you crank up the Regen (Feedback / Repeats) too much - which can be cool when you want to get really psychedelic. In any other situation, or even with a digital delay, why would you want to to set the Regen past 12? You'll hardly need more than a few repeats or it will muddy up your sound completely
@bluesderek I got ya! and i dont usually have the Regen past 12 i just noticed that when it was it went crazy.. i Play thru a 1965 Super Reverb and the first time i turned the Regen past 12 i thought my speakers were gonna blow! im not a big delay guy. just a TS9, Compressor, Wah type player so im not use to this whole Analog delay thing! Thanks for the Advice tho!
I like your taste in guitars, but can't stand this kind of music..
