Its easy to find a stronghold. Just make some eye of enders, alot of them, and when you throw them, they will lead you in the way of the stronghold, then when your near it, it will go down into the ground, then you just start going down. Once I did it, and I landed right in the room with the portal to the end. Its awesome!

To everyone who doesn't have this game and are like me, not wanting to lose our items upon death. Theres a mod called "Death Chest". If you keep a chest in your inventory, when you die, ALL of your items will be stored in it upon death, so you just need to travel back, grab your items, and the chest and be on your merry way. So all fears are gone. Unless you have the Ogres mod and the Elemental Creepers mod of course. And now to buy Minecraft in a few :3
