  • Wow, how old is this footage? I remember kevin from the Valley races in the 80s with his Black 64 Chevelle at Canoga and Nordoff and the other places.! Cool anyway the Mustang pulled hard at mid track IMO. joe

  • This footage is like a month old...

  • Good run guys.

  • hey dont think u know these racer. . it wasnt a trick. . the car just died. . the mustang it build to hook on the street and that street is better preped then most of the tracks out here no worry bout hooking mustang won that night!!!

  • What a sick ass video!!! Bad ass cars, this video got me all excited.

  • Mustang got him... even after the Camaro tried a dirty trick of "fake stalling" his car so the Mustang's tires would cool off and hook less.

  • If you read a little into the way pro drag cars manage tire temperature you will find cooler track surfaces (i.e. street) require shorter burnouts. You try to keep the tire temperature uniform between the surface your on and the tires.

  • No offense to you, I'm sure that you probably did read that somwhere...bad info is all over the internet.

  • My Dad is a professional drag racer in the NHRA, he runs the Super Gas index in Division 2...(Southeast). I know alot about drag strips, I've been going since I was 2 years old..I'm 33 now. The difference here is that a drag strip is "prepared" alot better than a road in an industrial park. Some big time street racers do a little to prepare the surface but only the launch area.

  • On a real drag strip there is the first 60 feet and then a "groove"...colder tires will not hook after the initial launch area on the public road. Thanks though.

  • Don't think it's a trick, Kevin drives with hand controls, not easy, hence the name Kripple Kevin. Plus they wait on a street light for the go.

  • Camaro had a retard timer come on and was shooting ducks .

  • Who won? That stang sure took off after the spray!

  • Who cares

  • man i have to go to compton more, what days is it there
