@sycho127 I think it's vibrato with very high distortion. If you bend a string quickly and repeatedly over a fret and turn your amp's overdrive on, you can get that sound. At least I think that's how you do it.

WTF is Matt doing with his guitar from 3:05 to 3:20 ?? It's horribly false, it completely ruins the harmony of the song, especially from 3:11 :(

@Elgossar I thought the same thing too but he actually complements the piano part very well. The notes on the guitar are Eb Db Eb E Gb E Eb. The notes that you mentioned particularly at 3:11 combined with the piano is Eb and Gb which are the 3rd and 5th notes of a nice B major chord. The song is in F# major which mean neither riffs have any accidentals. Try playing the two parts together on the piano, it sounds much nicer.

@jacobjavery i understood ur explanation and it makes sence, but even if theoretical it should sound harmonic maybe the guitar effect changed the colour of the sound but certinly it didn't sound so harmonic don't u think ? anyway matt didn't make this mistake happen because he didn't know what notes he was playing but because the sound of the guitar and the piano didn't match ( i guess :D )...

Matt Bellamy has an INSANE Vocal range, and they all are so talented. People say "I love lady Gaga because she is something new." Thats all well and good but Muse are so much different to ANYTHING else that is out there, also I feel lady Gaga is a good pianist but her music is overated. I remember seeing a video from Absolution-era where the beginning of Take a Bow was played as the outro to something... Citizen Erased I think. Possibly Reading 2003?
