I just figures it out.

The clover field monster is a manifestation of the man in black/smoke monster. He in turn, is Slender man. This is because they are all avatars of Nyarlathotep.

The island was created to seal off another dimension on the other side of the "Cork". THis dimension is the alternate universe from fringe. Nyarlathotep is, Was or will be imprisoned there (Wibbly wobbly timey wimey ball). This accounts for the alternate world being so much more of a shithole than earth.

He did this with the aid of remnants of the Kaball using Xindi technology because he is also Future guy. They try to keep it under wraps, but as you can see, that didn't last. Also, btw, the little ones are actually parasites feeding off the 'clover.'

The satellite crashing was just part of the viral marketing and it was put in the final scene as acknowledgment to the people who followed the viral marketing. In the digital effects in special features, the guy that designed clover said, it was easier to create the creature with the knowledge he is a baby and lost, he's not destroying Manhattan just because, it's all scary to him. His roars aren't a display of anger but rather fear. Like a lost baby looking for his mother. Quite possible it was him that fell not the satellite. But him being asleep then woken is plausible too. Either way the realism of this movie made it a great.
