  • Holy CRAP! This is the exact same idea that I had a week ago! For real! It's about time that we start a new economy, by also abolishing the fast food industry and freeing up labor in order to build community centers and new farming centers for each major city. But the idea that I had was to use Google and put the site at the top of the list of items that you search for every time. In the end you would circumvent the overhead costs of stupid government and the slow movement of money. Way to go!!

  • That is a way bad idea. Slow money just means slow corruption, but still inevitable corruption. Trying to use a currupt system to fix a corrupt system will be very frustratingly futile.

  • how'd that work out for you?

  • if you want to see libertarianism and a true free market at work, look to somalia

  • Hey, sounds very interesting. My question is this, if you're using capitalism and free markets as mechanisms to seed a new economy, what is it that's new about this initiative? Will the businesses or projects that are seeded use new institutions and mechanisms in the way they are organized? If not, what's new about it? Just curious. Ever heard of Parecon?

  • Great to hear more people talking about getting more support for grass root projects and get the word out there

  • good ideas to break the matrix

    watch?v=ITiFXfun53M

  • I got to go jerk off after watching her talk

  • HOTNESS!!!

  • hhhmmmmmmm,.......pigtails,....yyyyyeeeeeaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!....

  • You say a lot DourCynic, but I think it's much simpler than all that. Many people adhere to what is presented as the "right" view and they align themselves with that to feel correct, but such actions are based in self-deception and insecurity.

Whether liberal or conservative (or whatever else), blind adherence to perceived leaders and imposed rhetoric is primarily a tactic used to convince themselves that they're better informed without having to research facts or think.

    It's the easy way out.

  • vashwc, the comments are RETARDED at best! Do these sub-humans walk among us????LOL

  • The reason outsourcing started you ignorant moron is because democrats raised the taxes on small business which caused most of them to sell out to bigger businesses or corporations. After promoting dissent & class warfare liberals increased taxes yet again this time on "evil" corporations who said "screw you" we'll take our ball & go somewhere else. That's exactly what they did & fools like yourself vote for the very party that created the situation in order to consolidate power

  • You don't have the guts you scum loving socialist to actually move to a socialist or communist country because deep down you know that would totally suck for you. Small business have been destroyed by big governments burdensome unconstitutional legislation & insane levels of taxation. To simply call me a cock sucker in response is not enough & will only prove your stupidity to the world.

  • Alright jabackazoid now that I've posted one of your crap for brains comments I'm going to explain to you why your a stupid arrogant piece of dung. If your not a liberal your clearly as dumb as one & you can say your not a liberal but you live in a perverted capitalist society yet you rail against capitalism. That is the main thing elite liberals have been pushing stupid lemmings like yourself, to do since before the 60's.

  • Interesting. And yet you are unable to give me proof of whatever would support you ideas. Thats because you, your movement, and alex faggot jones are all wrong. You guys think you know everything and that the entire government is out to kill you. Nope. Maybe a small percentage has tons to gain; but you are wrong. And when 2012 comes along, you will all look like fools just like when the year 2000 came along. Go back to wearing your tin foil hat faggot.

  • Taking in his opinion is like being forced by necessity to take a crap in a raunchy latrine infested with horsefly's in the middle of a socialist South American country. Oh yeah, & he likes to leave comments on other peoples pages but doesn't have the balls to let those people leave retaliating comments on his. Clearly even he knows his limitations, he can't stand the fact that the girl in this video is both intelligent & beautiful so he feels threatened, he could never have someone like her.

  • Criticize his ideology in a legitimate effective humiliating fashion & he explodes with a diatribe of sophomoric insults & profanity. He loves his big government & his unconstitutional semi dictator because he sucks down propaganda like a child inhales candy. It suites him emotionally to defend that which is harming his own bank account as we speak because he doesn't even comprehend inflation or embedded taxes. Jabackazoid is a total waste of space.

  • Jabackazoid is a total waste of flesh & a honorable liberal vegetable. He beleives in the mantras & doctrines of socialism because his brain has limited use of logic. He doesn't understand taxation without representation or that Obama's view of the Constitution as a charter of negative liberty's makes him the most openly unconstitutional president in history. He is a reactionary & that's what he believes he does best.

  • so many dum comments below not even knowin why am i commenting

  • Fag: Faggot Alex Jones cock sucker confirmed, cannot seem to use relevant factual evidence. Your bullshit defines your lack of intelligence. I estimate your I.Q. to be 60, which is a retard by all definitions.

Do you also believe the world is going to end in 2012? Because I heard by Alex Jones it was ending in the year 2000. Nice try fatty fag.

  • You're a scam artist you dumb bitch. And your fans believe that 9/11 planes were switched and detonations were used in WTC buildings. lulz, all of this has been debunked. Alex Jones is a fraud faggot. Ever here of his Y2K rant in which he said the world was ending??? Yeah, thats what I thought you fucking hypocritcal faggots.

You suck shit you dumb bitch.

  • No one has come up with one good reason as to why to support this. This is a scam. At least with corporations and OTHER legitamate small businesses they offer STOCK. Whereas this...Nothing is offered. Who knows what these theives will do with that $1million raised.

Oh and vashwc, you are full of bullshit, prove me wrong faggot.

  • My last post was in reference to Jabackazoid41 a liberal moron who enjoys ignorant yet mediocre bliss.I salute this girl for trying to get peoples attention. The proletariat is in the most powerful position as educated consumers who's elected officials remain true to their voters lest they be severely punished or worse. We have power as individual entrepreneurs, not as citizens forever in debt to the state which provides everything & never enough always in total mediocrity.

  • Oh my God, she's even sexier with those handle bars. I usually hate when people make comments like this towards her but I can't help it. Brains and beauty! Go Shelley!

  • I know some poor jews and they're good people.

If you want to do something for yourself put all your money in gold or silver (preferably silver) as it's a shot against the bow of the Federal Reserve Pirate Ship.

  • This seems like a worthy project so I'll happily pledge.

$5 is nothing compared to what I lost last year and all those losses were eaten by the FED and their various tentacles.

I notice food is the primary focus which makes a bit of sense, but is there any way to include craftsmen in this project down the road?

I buy a lot of items on Etsy (repurposed clothing, toys for the kid, etc) and I'm sure there are many artistic folks who create responsibly and could use some support.

    Thanks Shelly!

  • It's AMAZING reading all these and many other comments. The Governments, Globalists, Religions, etc have everybody Separated. No wonder we cannot come together as ONE.

  • Another great idea. We need more sustainable living approaches to lifestyle in the U.S. Somehow, we've been disconnected from the desire to utilize our own property to benefit the economy. Well done. I say bring the matrix down...

  • To say that "Jews" are the problem is beyond shortsighted. In the Jewish culture, ZIONISM is the issue. Israel is a ZIONIST state and claims to be the same as Judaism, and it is NOT. Not every Jew is a Zionist, and Zionists are NOT Jews ina true sense. Remember, Israel was put into being as a state by political Zionism, and that is not something every Jew agrees with. In fact, most disagree with it's method of progress. Religious right to take ppl off their land(the Palestinians)?

  • and i def didnt say all this to take it off subject because I have alot of respect for the ppl who made this video. BUT, we have to understand the middle east and how it has been wronged before any real peace can be attained. Israel is putting Rabbis with machine guns into armies on the front line! It isnt covered in our media! This is the diff between Zionism and Judaism. Jews believe that religion is seperated from war. Other mid east countries want that option too but are misunderstood

  • When the dollar drops to zero, the black market will become the de facto economy.

  • Brilliant idea. Hopefully these bussiness minded people have some moral substance though. Something very fundamental, that our economy, and we as a people are lacking. I will donate nonetheless.

  • freeserb, the US government is providing free room and board for millions of illegal immigrants and you are angry about the Jews?

  • That has got to be the most moronic comment I have ever seen on here. You are aware Being a "JEW" is a religion, not a race of people? Not just someone with the name BERG or STEIN but someone that practices the Jewish religion. The stocks are manipulated by Bilderberg, the illuminati members, mostly white bred snobs with more money than brains. Go get yourself an education and lose the hatred you have against other humans. You will feel better.

  • Is it really ripping us off if they own it to begin with? I think if we stopped using their mone, it would fix itself.

  • 8n)

  • Americans seem to be very energetic and active, not like japanese.... It s sad to see there is no significant grassroots movement in my country(japan). Esp. amongst young generation.

I envy you, american. And restore the republic.

    Shelly is always cute, btw.

  • That's a very nice comment. Thanks for posting it. I would add we have a few things to learn from Japan as well: savings, less credit-driven economy, respect for elders...perhaps someday we can have the best of both.

  • Elderly people are severely treated in my country.

But I will skip the detail.

Thanks for a response. Im monitoring US social movement every day.

    Heat up, honorable americans !

    The world is watching, too....

  • This girl is an intelligent woman, I wish more people around the world had your ability to perceive truth.

  • great vid!

  • Unfortunately the dollar is going to tank soon so this would not work, the best thing I believe we can do is prepare for this change as best we can, food, supplies, all the basic necessities of life because the piece of paper you hold in your hand is really not worth ,,,,!

    Best wishes.

  • Huh, huh, you're hot! Almost thinking of giving you 5 bucks on looks alone but alas I'm a greedy capitalist intent on ruling the world (ok, ok, maybe just a few acres of land as our politicians in DC destroy what's left of this once great country).

  • Five Stars!!

  • Interesting how people like you say your all about capitalism; then when corporations arise you all are up in arms. Sorry but you cant fix the entire economy by setting up small busineses. Its called globalization, and large corporations which provide both industry and services is what makes a strong economy (as well as buyers). We dont even know what these entreprenuers are going to do; and no, they wont fix the economy.

wow, what a shill you are.

  • Guess I'll add you to the list of people who tell me I can't make a difference... we'll see ;)

  • Have you heard of peer to peer lending? I think this might be a fantastic way to raise seed money for something like this without having an IPO. It is also called person to person lending. You could pool the lenders. Something to think about and possibly look into. I know this would be more complex but it seems more fair than just asking for a million dollars. Don't add me to your list I am really only trying to help.

  • tedstryker - you're not on my list. P2P is an interesting idea.

Our hope in doing this is that enough people will see $5 worth of value in the idea of being able to launch entrepreneurs in a way that will kick off a cycle of reinvestment. And to clarify, WE aren't getting ANY of the money. We're volunteering our time & energy to do this, b/c we're tired of the way the established system works & we think there are benefits to a community-supported business model beyond traditional ROI.

  • But I saved 200 dollars this year at walmart !

  • I glad to see that you are budgeting and keeping track of your money.

  • I was joking ...I haven't been to wal mart in almost 5 years .

  • Damn, you're doing better than I am. Now that's my new goal.

  • yeah its also called risk; and uhhhh, THEFT if the entreprenuers dont go through with everything.

What kind of companies are you going to make? Basket weaving? "Mom and Pop" businesses can only go so far, and 1million in random small shops is not going to fix the economy. Sorry, but it wont.

  • jabackazoid, at least she's offering a creative solution. what have YOU done besides sit up there on your high horse and criticize?

  • Actually no, she did not offer a creative solution. That solution has been offered many times before. Its called owning stock. But she is not offering anything in retrun except "You will help the economy". Which it wont help the economy, and no one else will get anything in return. Its a scam and it wont fix the economy.

  • Jabackazoid:

Large corporations use the Government to keep entrepreneurial start-ups at a minimum (sometimes referred to as crony-capitalism).

This has a detrimental effect because it stalls creative ideas, removes options that would otherwise be available, and drives up costs.

You say yourself that, "we dont even know what these entreprenuers are going to do"

Entrepreneurs have historically brought much more innovation than monopolistic corporate domination - they deserve a chance to grow.

  • u worthless propaganda sucking liberal moron.Walmart is a direct result of abusive capitalism which wouldn't exist in its current state had it not been for specific individuals working w/government bureaucrats to manipulate the system.Small business could compete w/wallmart if they weren't excessively taxed by the fed via inflation embedded taxes&the rest of the1s they tell u about.u've been watching to much Michael Moore, who by the way is a perverted capitalist, check his stock portfolio fag.

  • First off, Faggot, Im not a liberal.

Secondly, you faggot, cannot admit when captalism fails. Its not a perfect system. Small business CANNOT compete with large over seas corporations. Its faggots like yourself who believe that this 1 million dollar scam will compete with China and fix our economy. Its a scam, go suck a cock faggot.

  • @Jabackazoid41 small businesses account for over 90% of new jobs. Corporations account for the plundering of other countries, driving down wages and YOUR lifestyle, putting as much GMO in food supply as possible etc.

  • What Generation are you from?age?

  • Pippi Longstocking!!

  • Rather than asking people to give their hard earned money for nothing why not sell them a share of stock in whatever entrepreneurial venture comes to fruition for $5.00? We are for free market capitalism not welfare right?

  • Because the SEC won't allow us to do that. This is all we can do. Which is why we're only asking for $5, not $50.

  • Sadly, I think this is why it is not going to work... no offense. Is there no other way than an IPO to sell interest in an entrepreneurial venture? A collective syndication or something? Idk it is not my forte...

  • no thanks...

The more I watch your vids the more I realize that you have no clue as to what the problem is. The problem we are in will not be fixed by capitalism or the current political process. The fact that you think it can be fixed that way makes you stupid or corrupted or very naive.

LOL! yeah, that is just what we need... more of the populations money funneled into the hands of a few.

I will be unsubing now... peace shelly!

  • So... I should just sit around and complain about the people trying to do something and wait for everything to collapse? That might work for you, but I'm not going down without a fight ;)

  • it must

  • Just yesterday I learned a lot about California history - RE: The Regan years (as gov.) and the downward slope of "small business" as "classified" since. Get this, a "small business" is any business with 250 or more employees, anything less is considered a "hobby business" and doesn't not qualify for numerous programs, support or protections...??? WTF

2/3 of the US economy is made of "small biz" - -and not "hobby businesses??? RSVP

  • I appreciate your ambition...but this doesn't seem to be well thought out. Here's a (real capitalist) idea I would support:

    1) Have your site VET enterprenuers that you like.

    2) Let them make their pitch on your site.

    3) Let us then CHOOSE who we'd like to support.

4)...and arrange it so that we can directly PROFIT from our support.

  • We actually looked into that, but (SHOCKER) there are major SEC restrictions / ridiculous regulations that made it way too complicated.

Also, we don't have the expertise to properly vet entrepreneurs - the Slow Money Alliance specializes in it and has a proven track record.

  • anyhow...it's nice to know that the SEC is there to bravely protect us from YOU--while allowing Bernie Madoff to rape anyone he can bind and gag...

  • Yes, and one more proof that we don't have free-enterprise anymore. People want to blame 'capitalism', and by that they mean 'free enterprise', but we really have mostly Crapitalism, croney capitalism, govt.-backed monopolies and protection rackets, and corporatism.

  • yeah....I said something like that in my comment that youtube decided to eat. USUALLY, I copy them to clipboard before checking to see if they've posted--when I occasionally forget, that's when youtube eats them. I have an idea that some BIG JOKER has done some of the programming at youtube ;)

  • anytime i speak of free trade ,my comments are erased also .

  • Ummm....I'll assume you're joking. As far as I've ever been able to determine, youtube's tendency to eat comments is purely random (yes, it only SEEMS they tend to eat my comments only when I've forgotten to make a quick copy of them).

  • hase you noticed yt has a comment limit in a certain time frame ...

  • Of course I have. I've exceeded it many many times.

  • Amen !

you said better than I could of.

  • Made another comment--looks like youtube ate it. Here's the short version: Have you looked into making an aspect of this "offshore" as a way to avoid US regulation?

  • Done.

  • Its always nice to try and make a difference, but lets not delude ourselves into thinking the US wont suffer a terrible collapse and wont have martial law.

I PROMISE this will happen. Be prepared for the worst. Then when youre ready to survive on your own, have plenty of food, water, ammo, then go ahead and do this sort of thing.

  • thank you for everything you do.

I was wondering if you could inform people of the fact that there are military troops, on american soil, assisting the police in cities all over our nation..?

    thanks again,

  • beauty and brains, what a breath of fresh air

  • Forget all the celebrities, you are currently the hottest woman in America, because your mind is on board with your looks. I thank God for everyone who allows their mind to be open beyond the assimilation of party lines and propaganda. GMO food is an exceedingly important issue as is contaminated drinking water and psychotropic drug quackery. Our divorce from nature is going terribly. How long until we recognize that we are not civilized, but rather silly-lives-ed?

  • Good point about being divorced from nature. In many ways it seems the modern view of "progress" has come to equate a bold renunciation of the natural world.

It's almost as though we've taken the survival instinct to another level - from just getting by to turning up our nose at nature by trampling it and exploiting it without regard for the consequences, or appreciation for what nature offers us.

An unsustainable path for sure - I'd rather cultivate a partnership with nature than dominate it.

  • I agree wholeheartedly.

If we depict our current situation as being divorced from nature, then it could be said that we had an affair with a slut called industry who was jealous of faithful nature for it's ability to captivate us with free unconditional love and took to planning nature's demise which would be our demise; A sort of "I I can't have you no one can" situation. Industry is a slut and nature is a faithful lover. Let us put away childish toys such as greed and envy.

  • i'd love to seed your economy

  • It needs absolute transparency - you can do this with youtube. Just put the accounting up. : )

  • sounds like a commercial...

  • This world will get nothing of my mind or productivity until the collectivist looters are removed, and we return to sound money. I won't invest myself, or my assets in a system that's designed to destroy and feed on the people.

I'm on silent strike, and won't stop until their philosophy is exposed, and bankrupt.

    $

PS I love the double pigs, your bravery, and effort. You're but a glimpse at what awaits us, after we win.

  • Duly noted, John Galt ;)

  • Keep up the good fight Shelly.

  • Obviously, I'm an idealist and an optimist.

For those of you who are cynical and think this is a scam or whatever, would you consider spending $5 on 10/6 to support a small business or farmer within your own community?

That's exactly the point of this project. So, if you're not comfortable donating $5 to the Slow Money alliance's investment pool, you can still participate by "investing" in your own community.

  • well yea go you =) i understand totally i myself dont care for big corporations etc myself but honestly its a ghood thing what your doing we need real capatilism to come back

  • Sounds vague and complicated. Wouldn't it be easier to overthrow the bankers and arms dealers and have a government that made sure what was in everybody's supermarket everywhere was healthy and sustainable?

  • basically you are just trying to get capital. so I am giving you $ to have some other dude invest. or i could just take that money invest myself and make the bank. why do we need business entrepreneur outside ourselves. the free market is about diversity this just sound like a scheme. hey give me your money hell ill make money off it and not share in the profits off the money you gave me.

  • 6enlighten9... I'm not making anything off of this. That's not the point. But feel free to invest $5 in your own community instead - at the end of the day, that's what this is all about ;)

  • That's not why you should donate! but donate for a good cause.

  • wow...let me get this straight...

    tits arent a good cause?

alright, then i'll donate for freedom...but i'll write it off as tits.
