good breeders breed healthy puppy's if you just buy a puppy from some one that only wants to make money of them then yea they are gonna get it or be at risk but if you buy 1 of a responsible breeder then there is no wrong color!
Keep up the good work. Sounds like you know your stuff about Dobes. We have 4 Dobes and one is a blue. The only people that complain about blues and fawns are the ones not making any money from them. It would be nice if people would use the comments section for encouragement and not criticisms. Blessings!
Blues and fawns ae prone to going bald. Alopecia is the condition. So they do have health risks. Most reputable breeders will actively avoid producing dillutes, because of the health problems.
You said your dogs had titles 3 generations back? How many titles do your dogs have NOW. The ones you are breeding. Why are you breeding them? Have you tested for health problems. Hip, eyes, heart, thyroid etc...
Yes to all the above questions. I had both parent's checked out on all aspects of health risk b/4 breeding. In fact, I waited about 2 yrs. to breed my male. I am not a "backyard breeder" in any shape or form. However, after the 2nd litter I have had my female fixed and will have my male before too long. I enjoyed the puppies and ALL of them are doing great. I keep in touch with everyone. But, I'm also doing my part so I don't have any un-expected surprises. Thanks for ur concern!!
hi there, im in californoia.. where are you located? how much are the pups? are they akc w/full registration? if your not in cali how much is it to ship them? i am looking for a female.. thanks so much.. maggie
Of course there is something wrong with blues and fawns. They are dilutes and run a risk of CDA. That said, they are beautiful but I would hope individuals ask for your titles before purchasing pups. Breeding should really be left up to the professionals.
Cute...I am a professional. Im not sure who u talked to but there is nothing wrong with blues and fawns. All of my puppies have been in great health. Just b/c Im 25 doesn't mean I don't know what Im doing. Also, I do have titles to my dobies. 3 generations back if they so desire...they are a WONDERFUL bloodline and I will continue to breed. In fact we just had our 2nd litter 9-14-07. Thanks for your concern...

I should be having another litter in September. I breed Moulin and Ickis last week and they locked up at least once that I know of. Usually, my puppies sell VERY fast where I live so I really don't bother with shipping them. Now, if you were interested in picking one up then we maybe can work something out.
no..sorry that I don't but I didn't have this camera at the time. I have like 3 short 15 second videos of Moulin on my cell phone when she was a puppy but that's about it. I do have a lot of pics though.
I agree. That's why these puppies DO have docked tails. They are still too young to have cropped ears. They have to be at least 9 weeks old. I have 3 dobies and they ALL have cropped ears, docked tails, and their dew claws removed. I hope you weren't impling that they dont
They are docked....puppies are born with natural long tails. You have to get them done at about 3 days old. This video was shot when they were about 3 weeks old.
There are NO red dobs in this video. Only blacks, fawns, and blues. As a doberman breeder unless someone want's their puppy without a docked tail...i dock them. That is the breed..if you don't like it then don't do it.
actually, my vet gave them a small amount of gas to knock them out so they didn't feel a thing..they just clamp and cut the tail off. its when they are waking up that they cry a little bit but they were only 3 days old so they healed very nicely..i was really worried that it would hurt them but it wasn't bad
No need to be os rude. Im curious to why you whould think that? There is NOTHING wrong with a fawn or blue. The dad is a fawn and I wouldn't trade him for anything. I also kept one blue puppy, who is also GREAT. Why whould you think that?

You are taking good care of them. They are very clean. I know it's a lot of work but well worth the effort. Thanks for the video. Adorable!

lunatic... My mistake, lunafae. Save your ignorant beliefs about subjects you clearly know nothing about to yourself.

Gotta love Dobies. They're all so adorable. No matter what color! Congrats on the great litter.

I love the red dobs. No need physcially modify them by to docking the tail and/or cropping the ears though.

I didn't say there were red dobs in this video. I don't believe in breeders or breeding. Dogs should be adopted from shelters or rescue groups.
lunafae 5 years ago
well then go adopt some. I have adopted MANY dogs and cats and also a few owls. I just prefer Dobermans
ElisaAvari82 5 years ago
does it hurt them a lot when you "dock" them? it just makes me sad to think of those adorable puppies in pain. :(
