  • People Can say ford is better than chevy or whatever it is, We need to support American Automakers arguing doesnt make a Automaker better however Quality, Style and Sales do. To Much of those thingsare going to Kia, Toyota and Honda. American Automakers 24/7

  • the engine on the 2009-present Ford Taurus

    3.5 L EcoBoost V6

    2.0 L EcoBoost I4

  • That's a very handsome car! And holy shit it's cheap too!

  • the only thing i dont like is the center console. it might be a little hard to get road head :/ other than that NICE CAR!! :)

  • the 2009-present Ford Taurus is assembled in

    Chicago, Illinois, United States

  • Looks a bit like a Chrysler 300 now...

  • I love it!

  • FG Falcon's still better

  • Great car, but Ford's current slogan is LAME.

"Drive one." That doesn't grab me.

They should have simply gone back to what they used in the 80's because, even today, it resonates, especially with what Ford is coming out with now.

"Have you driven a Ford lately?

  • I swear John Davis hardly ages.

  • What is "Echo-boost"?

  • @naarealy

Eco Boost is a turbo charger which adds power yet maintaining fuel economy.

  • Have you driven a Ford lately?

  • @JshrBs01 WORD!! I own an Acura EL right now.... (Canadian only car) but Im feelin Fords whole approach

  • قوة و فخامة و انسيابية

    شكرا فورد

  • It could go without the chrome strip on the trunklid...just looks SO unnecessary

  • Mondeo is way better...

  • Really, really disappointed that the new Taurus is not Rear-Wheel-Drive. Both GM and Chrysler offer it and in some pretty darn nice packages too (Pontiac G8 and Dodge Charger). There's still the Mustang of course, but for those Ford lovers who want a classic RWD experience but do not want a coupe...well...I guess we just don't matter. The new Taurus styling would have hit the mark for me.

  • Are you nuts? Pontiac is GONE. Dodge Charger sells in so few amounts Fiat had to bail them out. . FWD or AWD are great options.

  • @rotary12arx3 No, I'm not nuts. I'm just not a fan of FWD, for a number of reasons. I will, however, agree with you on the AWD.

  • @rotary12arx3 well, let say thank you to fiat because the challenger is everybody favorite car

  • Old ones were gutless 1986-1992!

  • when did ford come out fwd

  • Im getting sick of hearing two-thousand-and-ten, it's twenty-ten you dumbfucks

  • @howie1212 TWO-THOUSAND-AND-TEN! WHO THE FUCK CARES HOW THEY SAY IT?!

  • @howie1212 where the hell did you learn to count? It's two-thousand and ten. Do you count ninety-nine, ten-zero, ten-one? No, it's one-hundred and one

  • Wow its back to ford after I pay my nissan

  • it actually looks sick

  • thumbs up for john davis

  • That guy is the fool who used to say "Toyota CAMRAY" completelyt insentient.

  • awesome car

  • lol I love ford

  • '

    no thank,,,

    i dont like this car

  • for three grown adults? wtf

  • @bballplaya123678 in the back

  • Black it out and it would look so tough. look like a tank.

  • I do have to say that Ford has made a lot of major improvements. Until Sept. of 2008 I owned nothing but Ford vehicles and they were okay. In Sept. of 2008 I purchased a used 2006 Impala SS and fell in love with that car and told my self I would never go back to anything other than a Chevy. Well, Ford changed my mind when they introduced the 2010 SHO. The quality beats the Impala hands down. And the Impala is going on there 5th year with no new styling/improvements. And for 2010 there's no SS.

  • now this I like, Our family went from Ford Taurus LX wagon and Cadillac Deville to Honda Accord and Nissan Maxima SE...I have to admit the japanese imports were okay but they felt cheap and small but now since the American Brand improved their quality and are now larger than ever, cant wait to test drive this..Thought of the Maxima SV, but I think I will stick to the Taurus SHO.

  • @MercuryMorrison1 ford

piece of crap end of coversation

  • @wtl1964 Yes Chevrolet is a peice of crap...End of conversation.

  • @MercuryMorrison1 i personal don't hate ford but when faggots like you start talkin shit about chevy dodge or whatever car company it just shows what company driver is really inferior to actually hate. i personally drive chevy but if i saw a ford tarus with a 3.0l for 500 bucks id buy it because its e85 compatible.

  • @wtl1964 '''Faggots'' like me talk shit because we get tired of other ''fucking idiots'' like you who butt into things that aren't even their buisness.

  • @wtl1964 If you don't like people talking shit you better just get over it, because people have talked shit since the dawn of reason, and they will continue to do so until the extinction of mankind.

  • @khunopie Maybe on the old ones, not the new ;) lol

  • @khunopie Chevrolet Constantly Having Every Vehicle Recalled Over Lousy Engineering Techniques

  • This car is amazing, I think I'll get one for me

  • it's a beast . . . I'd drive it of I had a family.

  • If you haven't driven it don't judge it. I bought one love it drive great and has more features than Honda, Toyota lets just say it has more features than any car on the road.

  • same price as a 300c hemi awd ill take the ford

  • THIS IS NOT A TEST BUT MORE LIKE A COMMERCIAL!!!

    but not a bad car

  • @energiefreak I'm guessing you've never watched a full episode of MotorWeek on TV.

  • @MrFinikyfrank well no, cause im from europe and by the way i wrote about this clip and not the show;););)

  • sho is way too expensive. Its about the same price as a sts. sts is a much nicer car for the money.

  • Ford has really done a better job at this car. I had a 2001 taurus SES it was a nice a nice family car.

  • I love my Dad's 2010 SHO, I get to take it out every Saturday =)

  • way too expensive for a Ford

  • @xadam2dudex i agree my dude it should be around atleast $19,000 like come on its a ford not a lexus.

  • @NiggaLodion

Name a brand new full size car which starts at $19,000.

Btw:No one in this video is comparing the Taurus to a Lexus (you can´t find a brand new Lexus from $26000 which is the starting price of the Taurus).

  • @NiggaLodion 1989 Taurus was a mid size that started a $12k or $20k in todays money. 2010 Ford Fusion is a mid-size that starts off at $20k. 2010 Taurus is full-size--like the Toyota Avalon. Also, a 1989 Taurus SHO MSRP was $20k or about $34k in todays in todays money. I think you seriously lack full understanding of money.

  • what's SHO?

  • If you listen to the video it says SHO= Super High Output

  • @namesis93 you're right it's just a stupid comment because i haven't watched the full video...anyways americans are lucky to have a car like this ...i even would prefer this one instead of a german car

  • @boywnderr Super High Output

  • I have this car and I can't believe I get around 26-29 mpg on SHO! Great Car. And Very Safe, Best car I ever had!

  • I have this car and I can't believe I get around 26-29 mpg on SHO! Great Car. And Very Safe, Best car I ever had!

  • 5.5 sec for a car this big is great! although, i would get the buick lacrosse.

  • yeah , i think the Buick Lacrosse is much better than this !!!!!!!!!

  • This new Taurus is massive for a good reason. For all you whiffle-ball players who don't follow the industry, Ford's Crown Victoria is history. The Fusion is now the mid-size car in the Ford line-up, and the Taurus is their big, FULL SIZE model. Get it, guys? Hello? What is really going on is there's an entire generation of weenies under the age of 35 that have never driven anything bigger than a Honda. A real man still appreciates the ride you get out of a big car like this new Taurus! BOOM!!!

  • agreed!

  • I'm only 30 and i have driven and owned many cars larger than a Honda Accordian, LOL, my current daily driver is a 2009 Lincoln Twn Car, and my play car is a 1975 Eldorado. I prefer big full size body on frame, cars, not coke cans on wheels.

  • @deltaboy767 Sounds like you know exactly what I'm talking about......and if you're riding with your woman and young kids on a long trip, a full-size car is the ultimate way to travel....

  • this is a biased report, SHO is equipped with a V6 twin turbo engine and AWD although it performance is very poor;

Buick Lacrosse and Regal/Opel Insignia have smaller engines however they have better performance and both looks a lot better than this elephant named Taurus.

  • Yea no shit man, this thing is massive

  • @RickStylus the new Taurus is a sexy car along with the Lincoln MKS...these videos don't do it justice you really have to see one in person, truly a beautiful stand out car, they look amazing driving on the road! Buick is next in line to be dumped by GM if you haven't seen their sales lately...

  • I agree with you !! ▼_▼

  • for ford I like the mustang and the new F series trucks. this car has some nice features but don't really like the looks of the rear end on it. fusion is a decent midsize car but I think malibu is better.

  • Its better than a Toyota!

  • Since when is "a bit big" a bad thing?

  • good job ford. Ford is making very good cars now.

Their fusion got motor trend car of the year, and their F150 got motor trend truck of the year

  • man all that work on the new look, why coulnt they put little more time designing the back??

  • Love the new styling. Go Ford!

  • @carguy379 the car does look very nice I think. It looks a lot closer to the older cars than the recent previous models did. The only thing that puts me off from it is the SIZE (caps for a reason lol) of the car. I was at the parts store last week, and when I came out there was one parked next to me...it was ginormous! Wow

Good pricing and nice interiors on the car too. Seems GM and Ford are doing a very very nice turnaround in my book. I'd even think hard about buying their cars now.

    Kei

  • @Kamukix i know. for this to be a real sho it needs to be midsized and come with a manual

  • i find out motorweek always say good stuff about the cars they tested, they said camaro has good handling, this time they said taurus has good braking....... BS!

  • no. They said the taurus had FINE braking.

  • True: Eery other reviewer panned the brakes on this U-boat. Even the slightly larger brakes on the so-called performance version suck out loud...

pathetic excuse from Ford to try to compete with the Asian onslaught heading their way...In 2 years Hyundia's newest Elantra cars will look overpriced, when the China cars hit town...Ford's resale/residuals will be in the gutter! Put a Fork in Ford...IT's DONE!

  • @blueskysiii

all Chinese cars are death trap jokes - look them up on youtube and watch crash tests

  • @blueskysiii are u stupid!? Chinese cars don't even compare to the cars from ford, toyota, honda, ect. Their cars are unsafe and don't have good performance!

  • GIve them 2 years, and you'll see a lot more from them. Of course they will have to make changes for the US market, but considering that the CHina auto market is now larger than the U.S., the china mfgrs may opt to keep selling their cheap cars in-country...

Just like Korean cars, the Chinese will definitely get here sooner or later, and when they do, it will be the last nail in the UAW coffin..no matter what liberal socialist is in office...Welcome to France!

  • It is pretty good... Better than the Accord, in fact.

  • just wish the SHO didn't cost nearly 40 grand.

  • you get what you pay for

  • give it a year, you'll be able to find one used for $14,995. LOL.

the taurus used to depreciate like a rock, lol. maybe this one won't but the last few generations did.

  • I just found an article, all 2010 Fords resale value went way up! Including the new Taurus.

  • Porsche you r so right and let's not forget to say ford is surpass my Honda and Toyota chevy can't compete other than it's carmero and carvette and if it wasn't for carmero I would get a Hyundai over everthing else

  • hyundai sucks

  • If Hyundai sucked, then they'd be in the same as GM and Chrysler. Ford isn't doing much better except for they were rated better in reliability by Consumer Reports than Honda and Toyota. It still isn't going to stop people from buying those cars and switching over to Ford. Ford's suck.

  • okay, what are your reasons for why ford sucks?

  • If Ford didn't suck, then you'd see more of them on the road than Honda's and Toyota's. I have a Ford and it sucks. It was supposedly recommended by Consumer Reports as a used car but I get it and since I've had it from Oct. 2008 till now, I've had it in the shop 6 times. Each visit and repair has been over $300. I'm only 17 and still in school. I thought Ford was pretty good so I got one for my first car and I won't be making the mistake of buying another ever again that's for sure!

  • here's a little logic for you, just because a car is recommended, it doesn't mean every single one of them is good. it just means majority of them are good, so you can't judge an entire line of cars because you managed to grab a bad one. And you can't compare ford from 1999 to the ford of 2005 to 2010. You can't judge a company by it's past especially when it's clear that they've changed and improved. It's also unreasonable.

  • @ssj4goldengogeta Consumers care about credibility. Ford sold lot of shit cars as great cars. People who bought a crappy ford in 99 will not buy a great ford in 2010. People who have 300k+ toyota/honda will not move to ford. Ford has to work hard for decades before it can regain its position. Its called free market. People judge you against your competition. Cardiologist will not recommend McDonald just because they added a salad on the menu. Credibility is hard to earn.

  • @gwalia4 i was talking about fairness. i approve and defend fairness. i don't agree with judging a brand without considering the facts that are right in your face. there's more to a car company than just it's credibility. i'm already aware of all that you just stated, but that doesn't make it fair or make me feel that it is.

  • Plus, the reason you don't see as many fords on the road as hondas and toyotas is because most people don't really know how much ford has improved and how good their cars are. Plus those companies still have a very loyal following so of course those people aren't going to switch. There's also the dealings with consumers holding grudges against this company as if it could never change and improve.

  • Besides, think about this, most people who buy cars don't really know anything about cars which is why so many shitty cars from shity car companies are seen on the road, the major just doesn't know.

  • My grandpa has a lot of trouble with his 1999 F-150 too. He babies that thing and changes the oil (and filter) every 90 days. I take care of mine and it was a one owner car when I got it. My stepdad knew the person who had it before I did and she took pretty good care of it. She didn't abuse it but she could've done better with it. But that's a Ford for ya!

  • That's right I am with you porsh I love ford so how could someone compare a mid-size to a full size get real and I know the Taurus is better than a simple Honda accord impala what is that lol and camary is ok for toyota the Taurus is fine

  • Lol

  • I like this new SHO, it would make such a nice addition to my garage.

  • Ford needs to reduce the price, these things are expensive. I would rather have an Accord, Legacy Lacrosse, Camry, CC, Audi and a year old BMW then a over 30,000 dollar Taurus.

  • When compared to other cars in the full-sized category, the Taurus base price is less than the Chrysler 300, Toyota Avalon, and Hyundai Genesis. It's also on-par with the price of the Chevy Impala.

  • the Accord, Camry, and CC are all mid-size sedans. the Taurus is a full-size sedan (which explains the significant size and price difference). however, Ford offers its own mid-size sedan, called the "Fusion", which directly competes with the previously mentioned imports.

  • have u every heard of the ford fusion? the car that out performs toyota and honda!

  • Yes, I have heard of the Fusion. My point is I would rather have those cars. I'm not comparing mid size to large size, I'm just stating I would rather have those cars than a over 30,000.00 Taurus. I have not read anywhere that the Fusion out performs camry or accords, I have read motortrend state that it is the best car because all the different engines, options and especially the price, that is why it is car of the year. P.S. I own a ford.

  • This is a beautiful car. I stopped by a dealership the other day, and this is a huge, impressive car. I drive a 2004 Taurus, and it is NOTHING like this new beast of a car. My car looks like a turd with 4 wheels compared to this. I would love to get this car. Way to go Ford!

  • my dad drives a 2004 taurus also. It has over 200,000 miles on it and still running with minumal problems. He used to have a 1993 taurus and he got over 300,000 miles on that car

  • Thank you, Ford, for bringing back the Taurus SHO. That was a VERY smart move.

  • too bad it is slower than its competition and just as much..slower than the acura series and infinity g 37

  • No it isn't.

  • it is slower :( look at the side by side 0 to 60 and quarter mile :( its slower than the competition..they even said it isnt up to par with the rest :(

  • Acura RL does 60 in 7.2

    Infinity G-35 does 4.9

Taurus has been tested at 5.2

But Edmunds reviewer said Under 5 with experienced driver.

Eather way. It isn't slower than the Acura

  • Insideline gets slow numbers, it gets a 6.2 from ford and a 5.2 from motortrend. Thats on the sho model.

  • still slower from 0 to 60 than the infinity g 37 :(..so much for super high output :(

  • Yea but the g37's engine is really loud and still sounds very raspy through the 4k- full rpm range. But unless you don't care about that in a luxury car that is suppost to be quiet than yea, a g37 is better.

  • I know! Heaven forbid we have a really loud growling engine in an expensive fast luxury sports car!!! Why would you want that when you can have a ford that sounds like a station wagon!!! What was I thinking?

  • A station wagon? What does a station wagon sound like? The harshness of the 370z's engine is why it lost points as car of the year. And if you want a fast car, why not get the 370z instead of the g37? I'm just saying that usually people who buy a luxury car, like it being quiet. All i'm saying.

  • If they wanted luxury why would they buy a taurus :( why not buy an acura for the same price :(

  • They might like the styling better of the taurus or they might like some of the features that it has that the acura doesn't.

  • the styling of the taurus :( ...it makes me sad

  • @sweet00976 why comment so many times on the same video putting down the taurus? it is a good car

  • Then why does every review say there are better cars in the same price range and they are also faster :(

  • actually every review does not say that there are better cars

  • Well styling is subject to the viewer. That is your opinion. I don't know why a car makes you sad but I like the interior and exterior styling. Very upscale imo.

  • Good car and good looking car.

I am not a Ford fan and I was very impressed with it.

  • lol when they did that transition from old to new it just struck me on how amazing this car looks.

  • The Domestics are showing us something. I'm loving it! I'm import forever probably, but this is a awesome car. Very well equipped!

  • The back really stinks.

  • Awsome car!

  • Its Designed after the Ford 427 Concept of the 2003 NAIAS. I think the rear end looks great, other then that weird indent on the side in the rear, were the fuel door is...weird...other then that it's a great looking full size car!

  • The original 1986 model is still the best-looking Taurus. It`ll be quite some time until the American automotive industry has a smash hit like that. This one`s pretty nice, though.

  • The new Taurus looks pretty cool except for that big steering wheel. I think it should be a little bit smaller.

  • these cars are so comfortable and spacious on the inside. the trunk is tremendous.

  • The rear quarter panel looks like a huge dent in it but thats the way it was designed.

  • WTF made ford want design the rear end like that...

  • I agree, it could have looked so much better in the back if it didn't have the chrome inserts or the chrome around the tail lights.
