At 0:57 we see a Sherman tank, but on the side of the turret and down the sides of the tank there are unusual lines. One looks like a tow cable, but does anyone know what the others are? I've never seen this on a Sherman before. In fact, if we look closely, the tank strongly resembles a Sherman, but it somehow looks different. Is that really a Sherman?
@EvilFingers - I've never heard of that, but that is possible. I noticed the gun barrel looks much longer than on a regular Sherman, so this tanks seems to be one of the British Firefly Sherman's with the more powerful gun.
@HiTechOilCo The Zmmerit was commonly used mostly on the Heavy German Cats (Panther, Tiger I & II and their Variants)
As for the same Sherman, it does have a long barrel, but I dont think thats a Firefly, because the Firefly was only used by the Brits and the Canadians, and that late in 1944 after the German Ardennes Offensive, several US Units received the New Sherman with a Higher Velocity 76mm gun and improved suspension known as the Easy 8, which lead to the Super Sherman.
Does anyone know of a good resource online for learning about ww2 german squad/ platoon size tactics. I cant find anything on the subject.

@HiTechOilCo Possibly US version of the Zimmerit (anti-tank magnetic mine paste).
