  • Oh please r3123 u sound like a jackass. First of she is a product of UMNO and u know it. UMNO pays her to be MISS Malaysia. Come on...be real get your head out of your arse.

  • to everyone who says she does not look or sound Malaysian....do you even know what Malaysians look or sound like? Have you ever met a Malaysian? FYI, Malaysia is a multiracial country with a mix of mainly chinese, indians, malays and everything in between. And it is quite common for Malaysians to be educated overseas at some point or to speak the Queen's English as we were taught in school. So yes, she is a true representation of what Malaysians are like!

  • malays cannot be candidates.. as their religion prevents them to..

  • she gave smart answers... nice

  • wow malaysia. impressive candidate.

  • If you had sent a real Malaysian, her answers would had sounded like...okLAH...BoleLAH...SureLAH, your maatheLAH or pure BodohLAH!!!

  • @snakestraits1 u r MALAYSIAN???? why so rude???

  • @desertrose87100 Dear Rosie.....Yes, its prejudice......not politically correct.....i repent.

  • she's look too old..

  • okay... she was educated overseas.. its pretty obvious. maybe for half her life she wast even in malaysia.

  • she is super hot and gorgeous women..and really briliant !!!she's should be in a better place even a winner for this year..

  • @kanakcity yeah I know...

  • Is she a doctor?!?!?!

  • miss malaysia got robbed, poor her...this web interview is useless....no point answering the questions properly...you can still get in the top 5 no matter how stupid your answer is...maybe next time malaysia should send a bimbo...

  • she is one beautiful, genius woman!!

  • If you people want to be hard-headed, Malaysia will never be successful at MU. The girl is Eurasian and her name is Deborah Henry, a full American or British name. We keep telling you that the reason that she didn't even make the top 16 is because the MU judges didn't see her as representative of Malaysian women. So don't act shocked that she didn't even make the top 16. If you send a girl like her again to MU, the same thing will happen.

  • @MarquisdeSade825 her full name is Deborah PRIYA Henry... Priya is an indian name... her dad is malaysian-indian,,,

  • I seriously do not understand why she was not through to at least the semis. She's obviously gorgeous, and her response to the questions were very eloquent and elaborate. So what if she doesn't look like half of the women in Malaysia? If she does, she wouldn't have been unique now, would she? Besides, Malaysia is a melting pot of cultures and intercultural marriages are very common. So, her mixed heritage should never have been questioned. But hey, that's just my opinion.

  • trump will be regret!!

  • So great Ms. Malaysia!!! :)))

  • Donald Trump : You're hired!

  • in my opinion, Malaysia deserved a spot in the top 16. not to be mean to venezuela and usa, i honestly felt they should have given the spots for venezuela and usa to other more deserving candidates.

  • Does it matter is she doesn't look Malaysian? Im pretty sure many other asian contestants are also mixed...for god sake, it's a beauty pagent not world war...chill.

  • I agree, being Malaysian is about the nationality and the identity of Malaysia, not about the race. We cannot say she doesn't represent Malaysia just because she is not * Malay * or just because she looks like mat salleh..mind u, Malaysia is a multi racial country and i am proud that she is representing Malaysia as she is what Malaysia is about, a mixed racial country.

  • i am indonesian.. and i have to say.. miss deborah henry is drop dead gorgeous... she reminds me off alicia keys... anyway goodluck miss malaysia.

    love from indonesia

  • Hope she wins!

  • There is so much ignorance about Malaysia, i'm amazed! Malaysians are not all Malay. We live amongst so many races: Chinese, Indians, Malays, Kadazans, Ibans etc and mixed marriages are the norm. The term 'Malaysian' refers to nationality, not race. I am of Filipino, Kadazan and Chinese heritage and 100 percent Malaysian. If anything, Deborah Henry is a great representation of Malaysia - it doesn't matter what your racial background is, only where your national pride lies.

  • @fridaycat13 .....WELL SAID.....like it very much :)

  • amazing, she and protugal are no doubt the two smartest ones in this competition, I'm from trinidad and trinis are quick to judge, but we tend to be right in our judgemental rights and I can tell that she, portugal, trinidad and india are the four smart ones

  • i'm sure she isn't 100% malaysian .. she looks very mixed ...and i'm sure she lives outside malaysia thats how her accent is very good.

  • @egyption0ghetto FYI, that accent is pretty common in Malaysia as we practise the Queen's English

  • @egyption0ghetto: Her father is Malaysian Indian and the mother is Irish and they live in Kuala Lumpur vicinity. Of course she'd speak good English as it's her first language but she's still Malaysian as she is. She studied overseas before and being Malaysian is more than just the race itself. We're of various races, languages and dialects and mixed marriages are pretty common here.

  • some malaysians are complaining that she does not look Malayu at all and that she does not represent the true malay beauty. but then again, look at the current Ms. Universe- Ximena (spelling?) from Mexico, many mexicans were complaining that majority of female mexicans don't look like her at all but she still won... so we'll see...

  • @dmcguirre what malaysians would complain this?? a true malaysian would know that malays are prohibited from competing in beauty pagents. so it's only natural that Miss Malaysia would not really look 'Melayu'. Don't speak what you don't know.

  • so is she malaysian or not?

  • I'd rather to see all asian women win than white ladies/latina/hispanic.. Proud to be asian.. :) Go! go! go! ASIAN LADIES!!!

  • Comment removed

  • I really hope that Deborah win this !

  • Comment removed

  • she is not like malayian :(

  • g.luck Deborah!!!! ...good job..Malaysia people proud of you!!!!!!

  • Those commenting bad comments about miss Malaysia, you can go far far away.. How she structure the questions and answered it was amazing.. You need skills to do that.. Intelligence.. Don't just plain old dumb blonde answer like some of the contestants.. Don't be jealous what we Malaysia have and you don't have it in your country.. This is not the right way to rate people..

  • @SeanTheBoom yup!i agree with u..she's very good. Amper:she's not talking a lot but she want to explain more so that everyone can understd on what she's talk about. That's the right way to answer any questions.Like sean said b4,you need skills to do that..n u cannot aswrd any questions in just 1 word like a children...,u've to show that ure good in everythin. ..

  • @SeanTheBoom Hi! I'm from the Philippines and I'm rooting for Malaysia. Pls. do not generalize that all nay-sayers are from the Philippines, there have been a lot of account holders or comments claiming to be from the Philippines to create conflict among the contestants. and their supporters. This is sad for me because I am rooting for ALL asian candidates as they're all good, they say the asians this year are the best ever. I'd rather see an Asian win than a latina/hispanic to win (again!).

  • her answers are far from the questions.. shes talking a lot and lots of mistakes.. or maybe shes over confident that she no longer understand the questions..

  • She reminds me of "SADE" and she has a very sweet face. I like her...

  • Eloquent, beautiful and classy. I've watched the other girls and their responses are dumb. Some of you have commented that she does not look Melayu, well guess what if a Melayu was in her place I think her responses would have been pretty dumb and her English would have sucked.

  • @Limixed ok looks like somebody need a lesson here...for ur info, people who said that debby doesnt looks like malay is not malay people...most of them are either indon or philipino.and they meant debby doesnt looks like "malay" is actually "malaysian" as debby looks more like mat salleh.... please do a bit research stupid!

  • @Limixed wow racist much?

  • Comment removed

  • She's good...universal looked...liked her...

  • Wow!! She's smart!

  • her face is not melayu face look like...

    indonesia too....

    both are not original face...

    nothing proud....

  • @dani28104 I Agree (Unfortunately)

  • @dani28104 malaysia is not only owned by the Malays... we have chinese, indians and a lot more ethnics... and so your country.... she's irish and mlysian indian mixed... so what??? malaysia is a multiracial country... we are proud of each other... that what makes us stronger... we're proud of it...

  • looks so old.

  • 26 YO.. Miss Malasia is so very Old, .. and She was not thinking when answering, just simply answer the question, ... Miss Malasia looks like Gosipper...

  • Great her and India are the smartest and have the best answers.

  • she so beautiful..

  • top 3..!

  • pfffff the same answer that the chilean contestant ¡¡¡

  • my god this is the mos interesting interview that i listened from other girls .... she has brain ............... she is a nice candidate .. good look i am peruvian but i regonized that she is so smart ...

  • I think miss malaysia is really beautiful :3 obviously my fave is Miss Mexico, but Malaysia's girl is doing it very good

  • Hello ... are you kidding? I think the answer to Miss Malaysia 2011 does not contain obvious reasons ... So I do not like her answers, ... the answer is not good ... no. 1, no. 2 Hello Again, question the direction, ... Miss Malasia answer: "natural Roumor Emotion, connect people with deep-level" is OK But "" "manage about walking together, having equal oprtunity, equal Right" "" - not clear with heranswers ... No. 3 Dolphin is a wild animal? Sorry I doubted you enter the top 15 MU 2011

  • @donald7350 yes dolphins are wild animal.

  • she can really really nail the final question easily ! very articulate as expected because of her racial background! it would have been better if she added humor just to add some fun..nice deborah!!

  • most of negative comments were come from philippines...why???because they are jealous that malaysia was locked on top 5 without sympathy vote....

  • she is smart but look old

  • british accent, sounds good

  • shes sound soo intelligent and classy

  • she thought this was an extemporaneous speaking contest. didn't work honey, sorry! NEXT

  • well thoughtout answers.
