  • De här händelsen berörde en djup in själen. Kram Sverige.

  • Belíssima apresentação de Sissel!!

  • Tommel opp, hvis du er fra Norge!

  • I've got chills down my spine. She is SO good.

  • I wrote a piece for my composition class about these attacks and quoted til ungdommen. The class voted it the best orchestration for its power

  • Gud velsigne deg, Sissel. Du sa/sang alt!!!

  • @emileabib Thank you so much!

  • Mere end en sang.. Aldri mer 22 juli.. R.I.P.

  • smukt

  • Sissel what a beautiful tribute to Norway, May God keep you and Norway in His loving care. You are a very caring person. Love from the US,

    cherokee1370

  • Im proud of being from Norway! We will always stick together, and nothing will ever bring us down. Not even what happent this summer.. The only thing Anders did was to bring everyone closer to each other

  • Very powerful and touching song, very beautiful voice... Impossible to keep tears, even not understanding many words. Lenge leve, Norge! Hele Verden er med deg.

  • Like Nordahl Grieg said a long time ago "We are so few in this country, every fallen is a brethren or a friend"

All my condolence goes to those who have lost or know sombody who has lost someone.

  • for pokker da, goosebump all over.....

(Otto Mortensen)

  • @Oddi92 Ja, det er vi også vældig stolte af! : )

  • @6M1F9 Skam deg!

  • I can see that there are a lot of Americans and non-Norwegians here and your support is amasing. It's nearly unbelievable. So I think I speak for the rest of the nation when i say thank you.

  • I could not understand a word she sang. It doesn't matter. Her voice and her beauty makes any song in any language worth listening too. All lovers of great music in the world can't help but love this Norse Goddess.

  • @shilohrob

Please listen to the lyrics they are amazing. Either google "to the youth grieg lyrics" or youtube search for "to the youth by nordahl"

  • @shilohrob actually i think this one is better - it has a better meaning of the song than the other translation:. Search for: "Nordahl Grieg - Til Ungdommen (med tekst) (with english captions)"

  • Thank You!! Now the song means even more to me. How wonderful for Sissle to sing it so beautifully and with such warmth and emotion. God Bless Sissel and God Bless and keep Norway safe.

    cherokee1370

  • hun kender ikke engang digtet hehe men synger super godt

  • I'll never forget when Sissel sang this song. Me, my wife and our youngest son joined this seremoni. Our beloved son, Syvert, was killed on Utøya. This memorial day was Syverts birthday. If he was alive he would turn 18 years this day :'( R.I.P. my dear Syvert †

Kondolerer

  • @kugen32 So terrible to lose a child.. sincere сondolances from all Russian people... God bless your other children.

  • @kugen32 So good to hear that you found some comfort! I was deeply disturbed by this tragic event at utøya, may Syvert, and all the other victims rest in peace.

  • Every time I hear this I cry for Sissel and Norway. God Bless them everyone!!

    cherokee1370

  • @cherokee1370 Do you know what the lyrics for this song means? It's not just a beautiful melody:

Go to Wikipedia, and write this behind .org:

    /wiki/Til_Ungdommen#Text_of_the_poem

On week 31 2011 this song topped the Norwegian top single charts "vglista". Not bad for a song that was made in 1952 with lyrics from 1936.

  • Sissel er Norges stolthet. Sørger for alle etter 22 july

  • Although the occasion is very sad, no country could have a better ambassador of their language, culture and people than Sissel.

Herran velsigne Sissel og norsk folk.

La Norge vaere lys til verden.

  • I think that Sissel has suffered greatly for what has happened to the Norwegian people and in his face, as she sings, shines through all the pain. Great admiration for this woman and a kiss to all Norwegians.

  • Such a beautiful song. Sissel. God Bless Norway and God bless you Sissel. Norway gives so much peace and love to the world not it is their turn to receive peace and love.

    cherokee1370

  • This song gives so much grace, apreciation to so many!!!!! Who more than deserve it!!!!

  • @6M1F9 Da får de vel holde minnekonsert i sine egne land. Hva har det med Norge å gjøre?

  • Wow!

  • The person whom with the right arm carries a burden, precious and inalienable, can not kill. This is our promise from brother to brother: we will be good to humanities earth. We will take care of beauty, warmth as if we bore a child gently on the arm! Part 4
  • Love and enriched with dream everything great that was! Go for the unknown wrest its answers. Uninhabited power stations, unknown stars. Create them, with spared lifes bold brains! Noble is man, the earth is rich! If distress and hunger is found here it is due to betrayal. Crush it! In life's name will injustice fall. Sunshine and bread and spirit is owned by all. Then drop weapons powerless down! If we create respect for life we create peace. Part 3
  • Maybe you ask in anguish, uncovered, open with what should I fight what are my weapons? Here is your guard against violence, Here is your sword: faith in our lives, humanities worth. For all our futures sake, seek it and cultivate it, die if you must - but: increase it and strengthen it! Quietly conveys the grenades rolling belt Stop their drive for death stop them with spirit! War is contempt for life. Peace is to create. Throw in all your might: death will lose! Part 2
  • Surrounded by enemies walk the the path of your time. In the midst of a bloddy storm commit yourself to war. You may ask in fear, naked (uncovered), open: with what will I fight, what is my weapon? Here is your guard against violence here is your sword: faith in worth of life, humanities worth. For the sake of our future, seek it and nurture it, Besieged by enemies, walk the path of your time! During a bloody storm - commit yourself to war! Part 1
  • Ever since I first heard this song, I have imagined how it would sound if Sissel sung it. Despite the tragedy at the root of why I finally know, I have to say it was everything I had hoped and imagined it would be and more. Such a beautiful, fitting conclusion to this dignified ceremony...

We never forgott this day and we never forgott all pp who was murded that day/evning...

Peace / Love from me - Sweden..

  • I DON'T HAVE A CLUE WHAT SHE IS SINGING BUT SHE SURE SINGS IT BEAUTIFULLY. THE MOST BEAUTIFUL VOICE IN THE WORLD

  • @gcp850 Dear friend. It is a song to the youth. I hope someone can tranlate the song. N. Grieg who wrote the song was very famous. He was fighting against fascime in Spain and he was shot down over Germany.

  • @gcp850

Lyrics in English can be found on wikipedia under "til ungdommen"

  • beautiful! never heard this song before, but Sissel is capable of making anything excellent!

  • Today I have heard some versions of this song. This is the only song that really expressed how the Norwegian People feels: standing together, forever.

Thank you for performing this song, Sissel.

Fantastisk avslutning. Jeg gråt.

  • Frysninga!

  • Helt fantastiskt Sissel :-)

  • @safi123ify Det er i orden (som Anndi84 skriver) med "feil." - It is all the more real, even fitting, and like us all. In the middle of such a gripping heart-breaking memorial, trying to pull together as a nation after the horrors that occurred a month ago in Norway, with 77 beautiful lives lost our minds do tend to swim, also with memory lapses. My family and I here in the U.S. are profoundly devastated with Norway. We're thankful for the beautiful way Norway has responded. ~Felles med dere.

  • nydelig, og det var utrolig vakkert live!

  • Thank you for sharing this spesial moment...

  • vakkert
