Kauf dir ein Auto .... -18 is noch gar nix.... ich sag nur Ford Mondeo 2,0 TDCI und -32 grad.... 3mal vorgeglüht und einmal gezündet..... schon lief er.... übrigens das einzige Auto in unserer Straße, das da noch lief...

Das kenn ich! Der trick ist, die zündung auch nach dem erlöschen der vorglüh-anzeige noch ne ganze weile anzulassen und dann nach ca. 1 min erst versuchen zu starten. also bei mir hats jedenfalls oft genug geklappt!

Only the battery , with temparature as low as that , you battery needs to be in good charged condition . So this battery is near the end of its life . Maybe no problem in summer .

An old, tired and worn starter will give you that impression. Mine sounded exactly the same with a brand new 1000 CCA battery. I replaced the starter and now it cranks quickly in any weather.

glühkerzen tauschen oder einfach mal länger vorglühen lassen. auf die leuchtanzeige kann man sich nicht verlassen die ist meistens zu kurz ....

Entweder Batterie, Glühkerzen oder vllt noch Anlasser in Verbindung mit den Glühkerzen.

Denke in deinem Fall ist es die Batterie!

Mein 110PS TDI hatte mal ein def. Anlasser (zu wenig umdrehungen) und def. Glühkerzen, nachdem der Anlasser erneuert wurde, startete mein TDI (kalt) schon besser aber nicht gut, nachdem die Kerzen erneuert worden sind, startete er echt super.

my advice next time when is doing like this ... call a friend to give you some power with some cables..don't kill the battery for nothing .. you have to wait 15 minutes from the first action to the battery to the next one. trust me if you don't do like this ... then the battery will be good for nothing.

mine 81kw tdi made it in first key spin during -30°C(that's in winter, Lithuania), and one time I did not make it start on -15°C, because battery contacts was chalky - after cleaning them all went fine ;) well yours probably was end of battery life.. anyway Das auto ftw :D

also mein golfi 3 gt tdi 90 ps ist bei -16 ohne vorglühen angesprungen,wenn auch mit 20 sekunden verzögerung :-) (denke da hat er das glühen nachgeholt).mit ner guten batterie allerdings.
