Its not only about vampires (and not the pussy vampires either), but its also an allegory for modern day society, and the acting is fabulous. Twilight and The vampire diaries are pure rubbish, but true blood is original.

The early 90s was better than the late 90s. Once we got to around 97-98, it became the "Pre-2000s". This one was from 1990, which was basically the afterglow of the late 80s. That was the strong thing about the early 90s, it kept everything good from the 80s and found it's own identity in the process.
