I was at this game when he broke the record it was so AWESOME to witness Marty beating Roy's record. Not to forget Elias became the winningst points leader for the devils this night also! It was a time i will never forget. Love my NJ Devils!

Way to go Marty! I am proud to have lived in the era of hockey that saw this moment happen.

The cutting of the net reminded me of something I saw in Basketball once. Last year during the NCAA when Kansas won, each player on the team took a pair of scissors and cut off a piece of the basketball net they defended. I'm not a huge basketball fan so I'm not sure if thats their traditions or not. Obviously those little pieces are quite smaller than what Marty gets to take home. :D

I was there to!! I am good friends with the Mclain's so I got to sit right next to his sons J.C and Kyle. They were actually laughing when Patrick broke the record.( I also am good friends with Broduer's kids) lol they were on my hockey team.
