I know about a zombie mod for CS, but it was nothing related to L4D.... Valve themselves have said their inspiration for L4D came way back from CS/CSS when they were messing around in the office and played some knife only games and then played with 2 or so devs together at Valve against dozens of bots all just with knives.

Forget the effects even though they rock, MULTIPLAYER TEAM WORK AND WEAPONS are the best thing about this game. L4D is stupid, why the hell would you have zombies beating you? they should be tearing you apart like in this game ;)

Left 4 Dead, Killing Floor, Call of Duty all are different zombies, different layout, different graphics engines, and way diferetn guns.

Call of Duty actually allows you to buy guns and ammo while you earn money from kills and boarding up windows. You can revive downed members.

Left 4 Dead allows you to have infinite ammo as long as you are nearby it. You only get 9 guns to choose from. And can revive downed mates.

Not sure how Killing Floor operates, or even if it is out for XB360.

And even if it were out for XB360, I am saving my money for Dead Rising 2, which is co-operative play story mode (a lot better than Left4Dead2 which is like a 4-campaign 5-stage-per-campaign wave survival with no way to really upgrade or buy guns, with infinite supply of weaponry and ammo depos).

Killing Floor looks like a good concept. Plus the ability to buy weapons between waves seems similar to Counter-Strike and ShadowRun.

Dieses spiel ist nicht mit L4D zu vergleichen. Schon nur weil es 2 verschiedene welten sind was das coup spiel angeht. in dem fall sind es 6 bis sogar 50 spieler die joinen können. Before L4D came out, I played KF 2.5 mod. One of my favorite maps was a pretty good Resident Evil (the movie version) map of the Hive when you start from the mansion, take the train to the hive and actually go in that same laser room where everyone gets sliced up. Once you make it through, you activate an overwhelming amount of zombies (no down time). Crazy fun!

Anyway, I'm asking long time KF players, how does it compare to the old 2.5? Less glitchy now? Does it still have the KF feel to it?

This game, I must admit, is a lot creepier than most horror games and the fact that they are tortured experiments instead of zombies makes it all the creepier. One of my favorite weapons by far is the rifle. Though the damn thing takes a long time to reload, it's pretty damn accurate, moving or staying still.

In the game you battle waves of increasingly difficult and varied specimens. If you make it to the final wave you battle a boss called "The Patriarch" You also have a persistent perk system which you level up in and get improved abilities and weapons. You can level up 6 different perks but can only use one at a time which creates a class like system.

between waves you visit a mercenary trader where you can buy/sell weapons and equipment, refill your ammo, etc. if your not close to her you'll spend some time making your way there. Its also usually a good time to heal up, change your perk, reload and possibly find some loot.
