Great video! Of course there are cultural differences when you marry someone from a different culture. But remember, it is give and take. Perhaps you can educate your love a little too...it's not necessary to do everything she says!
hey I'm Australian born and bred, since being a child we never wore shoes in the house and dogs were NEVER allowed in the house. That is the normal way here for 90% of houses. I have been to the Phils many times and never saw a dog in a cage

"Number One" is true- just like Koreans, Japanese. We leave our shoes outside and wear house slippers inside the house. "Number Two"-- it's just your wife's personal preference
I see a mix here. Plenty of dogs live in cages but many dogs run free on the street or are taken out on leashes. A few dogs end up on dinner tables also.
@walangkeber Your right I called my girls parents Mrs or Mr and lots of times Mam or Sir. they seemed to like that and showed me lots of respect back.
My wife is Pilipino and I agree with you. We have two dogs and my wife wanted me to put them on the cage and I said" Hell no!our dogs are family and they should have the right to move around the house." So now our dogs can move around the house. I told my wife not to keep plastic on are furniture and she listen. I'm a American Phiilipino but I'm more Americanize.
@450hp202turbo not all filipinos put their dogs in cages. Don't generalize based off of one man's opinion... oh and use proper english you ignorant loser.

It's ok if your vocabulary is limited to profanities, you can always go to school for that. I hope you find a really nice asian teacher, peace be with you!!
I've lived in Cavite near Manilla for seven years. First off. MOST people put their dogs in cages. Mostly because their house isn't big enough to keep their entire family as well as a full grown dog. If they have a bigger house, they may buy those walls they use for babies. Most people families take off their shoes, but if they are a well off family, they may have inside shoes, and outside shoes.
I bet if you look around your house you will find other odd thins as well, Like is there a bowl or large cup sitting in the bathroom? maybe near the toilet? how about a lot of store bags sitting someplace, maybe there one hanging from a door knob is your freezer full of fish? do you have more then one rice cooker? Are there hotdogs in your spaghetti?
@xanh01 Sorry, but a lot of people do put there dogs in small boxes, cage fence, I'm sure some people don't but most do. I was there and saw it first hand, I keep taking my wifes graandmothers dog out so he could run, I felt bad for him, They keep there fighting cocks in a small cage as well!!
some filipinos put the dogs in cages but a lot dont. because if u put the dog in cage the dog will be brave and will bite people. if they roam around they will be with people and they will be kind.
The shoes and slippers thing is a matter of preference and really depends on the family. The predominant way is to have different footware for outdoor and for indoor. But there are also many Filipinos who are like that of the Japanese or Koreans where any footware is not allowed indoor. It's a matter of preference.
misconception here, should not be in cages but outside because dogs usually get dirty and typical filipinos/nas doesnt like the house getting dirty. :)
um, no. I'm Filipina and all the dogs that my family has even had are free to roam around the house and are not in cages. Yes, we do go barefoot in the house sometimes but its a personal preference because we don't want any yucky dirt in the floor. I wear clean slippers and shoes in the house all the time.
theres realy nothing "cultural" about taking off your shoes at home... I MEEN!?? WHY DO YOU WANT TO BRINGA LL THE DIRT / BACTERIA ALL THE SHIT FROM OUTSIDE, TO YOUR HOME???
nah he actually was correct with one thing though... taking of the shoes in the house and wearing slippers and taking yer slippers off when you walk in the carpet =] we do that =D
Whenever a male foreigner marries a Filipino woman / maid, can you see her entire FAMILY tagging along, being fed by the foreigner ? Poor chap ! From the parents to the aunts to the 3rd or 4th degree cousins ... they all live under one roof ... poor foreigner.
@FiIipinoUnggoy LOL I wasnt allowed my fiancees family to by one single meal for them they bought mine. I had to give my girl some money before I left to take her family to dinner for me. Then at the end of the meal she told them it was on me I paid for their dinner. I only once was allowed to buy everybody something at starbucks and that was like pulling their teeth to allow me to. I don't know if it was them being proud or what but I was prepared to spend allot.
yes shoes are not allowed in the house, dogs sleeps on bed and now theyre in the cage, we made a pet out of a goose who's attitude is like a dog, had 30 pigeons on the roof and we sleep in the living room when there's a visitor a total bedroom invasion!!! Mums clean the house everyday while Da sleeps the whole day, I dont eat rice, only my dogs does with dogfood and meat. nad my neighbors cooks me pasta' and shits that makes me fat, Whoa Are we Filipinos?
my mom dosent let have shoes in the house and i think its a good thing because the dirt in your shoes get into the carpet and makes it dirty also waht if people sat on the floor and had allergies
This has nothing to do with being filipina,my ex is filipina and im American, she would wear her shoes in the house but i do not ! Why do you want to wear your shoes in the house, just think of all the things you may step on then bring it into the house !
And BTW...I never seen dogs in cages either...Roosters...not dogs. They just raom the streets, most times starving. I dont know where your wife is from, but Ive been all through Luzon, and never seen dog owners keeping their dogs in cages. Keep in mind, 90% of Filipina's are bull shit artist, and I think she's bullshitting you.
I was also married to a filipina, and she also took her shoes off...but didnt insist I did or my family. And, wash the feet of the dogs?? LMAO....Too funny.
Do you know what I learned from marrying a filipina???? I learned that they are the sweetest women I ever met..(UNTIL THEY GET HERE)...then, all hell breaks loose, and they change for the worst....mine got her 10 year green card and divorced me. So, maybe I should have taken my shoes off too huh??
im european and we also wash our dog´s feet after walking outside. well, a clean families do that. so its up to individuals rules in family. but i know that for americans it can be strange...i have lived in usa for 1yr and for me was strange that some families dont take their shoes off when walking in house, like they show in movies...but here we dont keep dogs in cages, and never heared bout people doing that in philippines
they dont keep their dogs in cages.dont let your wife bullshit you.they let them run free as they do their chickens and when they get desperate enough they kill and eat them.they have no reapect for animals because to them an animal is simply a meal or two.im an american and i live in the philippines here in the province with my wife.ive been here for few years and have never seen a dog in a cage.maybe in manila or a big city there.but what sense does it make.its not a rabbit.
@fancydelancey1 its true that some filipino people kill and eat dogs but i think only part in northern luzon.. and not all of filipino people have no respect for animals, lol.. I'm fond of animals though and I'm in Manila. I think that kind of people you talkin about are like psychotic, insane.. which is not right to eat dogs and FYI, Asia is well known for its exotic cuisine or eating exotic foods.
@fancydelancey1 white person!your people do nothing but bring death in some places you go,mistreat animals alot worse then what your saying...killing thewm for fun, clothing and food.if your on our land, then show some fucking respect!!!!we asians kill dogs and eat them...not all the time, but thats what you whites do with cows, chickens, pigs, goats, etc.this is like the exact same thing!btw, this our place fool,we do what we want, not what you whites want.
I am an American female and now live in Europe and I have learned about the shoe thing here, many Europeans do not consider shoes in the house proper, you need clean slippers. Also, as for dogs, I must agree with your wife. They are quite dirty. I do like them but they are better off with cleaned feet and being restricted, but given lots of love and good healthy raw red meat. Good for you!
Only ugly retired American marry Filipino girls, Asian en general has that complex of some one have a white skin and blue eyes,so any white American can be so good looking in their eyes lol good looking and classy white boys wont marry filipinas ....
Before getting Married to my wife I visit her several times in the Philippines. Never saw dogs locked in cages. Yes, they did remove shoes @ door but to me it was like polite cause of not tracking dirt or mud into home. We been married over three years. I have to say we have pets and no real problems. Love is the key with patients and understanding
FYI you have everything wrong dude. If your married to a filipina all that is a personal preference of hers. I went to the Phiippines and met my fiancee. Her family had a dog that roamed freely and we all walked around with our shoes on. Did you go over there? I'm American and I see is other Americans putting things on YT that absolutely makes now sense. Philippines to me have one of the most open hearted and giving people that god put on this earth I love the culture but l <3 my fiancee more
@thereathing100 it is actually rude to enter with your shoes on and im a filipino...because of all the dirt the shoe has... unless you see the owner of the house wearing their shoes inside the house or they tell you that its ok to wear the shoes inside the house or slipper.
@obridong I guess my girls parents we ok with it they didn't say anything about me going into their house with my shoes on. My girl had schooled me bout their families traditions before I went there and she didn't say anything bout the shoes being worn I guess they aren't big on taking them off.
@thereathing100 It is a preference but most don't let their dogs inside the house for this reason but also due to the fact that dogs pee on everything unless trained. They also let you walk in with your shoes if you're a guest, but I've been to HEAPS of different homes and it's obvious that they only let guests do this cuz the real owners leave their shoes/slippers outside or near a door.
@xxfiloxx "They also let you walk in with your shoes if you're a guest, but I've been to HEAPS of different homes and it's obvious that they only let guests do this cuz the real owners leave their shoes/slippers outside or near a door." -- SO TRUE. Couldn't have said it better
@thereathing100 traditional filipinos don't wear shoes in keep their dogs outside not inside. but things have changed & many have adopted western custom & wear shoes inside their homes or keep dogs inside. it really depends more traditional & who isn't. also tray filipinos slept o using banigs.
I am a Filipina but I dont think dogs are revolting filthy animals that should be kept in cages. I have three dogs and the longest time they had in a cage was about 10 hours. Not all of the dogs here are in cages but yes, we do have a lot of street dogs though.
@Smokerface86 If you purchase a mail order bride, you can dictate the terms of existence to her. That was my mistake. Never fall for a girl, whose 'uncle' owns a yacht, helicopter, private jet, and mini-submarine. Hint, if her uncle collects and breeds tigers for a hobby, and is tyring to produce a liger,(lion/tiger cross breed), don't marry her. Find a young mail order bride, who can give you sons. Therein lies my downfall.
@OFWwhore No, not all American Filipnos make you take your shoes off at the front door. However, my wife sure does. Everyone does that before they enter her family's house in Ilocos Sur and she enforced the custom in Quezon City and then the United States. She also locks the dogs out in the backyard when I'm at work and won't let them in. I feel like a Northern European Neanderthal hunter whose pack of hunting dogs is being shooed out of the cave.
@T700Sony Who criticizes Filipinos? Nobody even knows where the Philippines is. When we were at Orlando, Disney World on line for some ride, a young Cuban emigre asked my wife if she could teach him Chinese. She was shy, but I told him that after the Spanish American War, the US got Cuba, the Philippines and Puerto Rico from Spain. Cuba and the Philippines became independent countries and Puerto Rico became part of the United States.
@John77Doe ..I got annoyed alot of bad comments about Filipinos here in YT. Well anyway, you are right about the Philippines. People must learn that most people are not good in geography and maps and they dont know where all these countries are. hehe.
@T700Sony I'm sorry, I don't see any comments about Filipinos at all on YT. However, I'm not really into the YT 'Filipino' community. When I was growing up, there was supposed to be a gang war between Filipinos and Samoans in San Francisco, but I was completely oblivious. I can tell you that Tagalog in the U.S. is mutating and it is spoken too fast, and too high pitched, like Chinese. Filipino visitors to the US have told me they only realized it was Tagalog after listening again.
@mitsupitsu44 Oh why did you remove your comment. I have a life. I don't check YouTube every day. Now I'll always wonder what you posted. I take offense at nothing. You can say anything to me and I'll respond.
@John77Doe what i removed was that by my knowledge, people do not keep their dogs in cages in the philippines,i have been their several times for longer periods( my wife is a philippina) and most people overthere have their dogs on their property(like in the garden,or patio),but it is true, that most of them do not let the dog in the house. But i never saw some dogs in cages overthere. And they have also a lot of streetdogs overthere.
@mygod909 From the upper class or lower class. The upper class ones are totally helpless. The upper class ones rely on their maids for everything. The lower class ones will always bug you to send money to the Philippines to support their family. Anyway, good luck. Marry a young one, who can sire you a son.
@mygod909 Children make the family. Filpinas are heavily into bearing children for you. My wife took it as a personal failure on her part that she bore me just one daughter and no son to carry on my illustrious family name. Marry a young lass in her twenties, who can bear you many 'bairns'. I miss my daughter when she was younger and I was everything to her. Children 'cement' the family, I recommend you have some.
I guess maybe I should have explained first before I said I didn't want kids. I already have 2 kids from a previous marriage and I will be turning 60 this month. What I meant to say was my having children days are over. Thanks for sharing your video. I enjoyed it. Take care...
@mygod909 If you have children from a previous marriage, it's a different story. Your Filipina may be content that you have progeny to carry on your name. Don't ask me why, but they're very sensitive about the continuation of family lineage. They feel guilty if you don't have children to carry on your line, even if from a previous relationship.
@mandarke2006 I wish I bought her and could order her around. It's like living with the Dolman of Antares from the 1960's Star Trek series. Her uncle is the shriveled up little old Filipino man in the corner when Pacquaio fights. He's a Warlord with a private army. If you have to buy a woman and can't 'woo' her, I would recommend buying a Filipina from the Visayas or Mindano, and not Luzon. In Luzon, they all already think they're white chicks.
The second floor was the real house and slippers are left at the foot of the stairs. The visitors are only allowed to enter and stay in the veranda or open porch that serves as the receiving area right on top of the stairs and before the doorway of the house. They may wear their shoes or slippers but they cannot enter any farther than the veranda.
Yeah, exactly like that. That's the way her Mom's house worked in PhilAm SubDivision & in Vigan. My cousin Edmar saw all the shoes piled in the verenda in PhilAm and started to take off his shoes and make his Taiwanese wife do the same. I told them that me and my daughter were the only ones home except for the maids and they could 'take it easy' and wear their shoes past the veranda. Probably the maids reported me to my wife.
No, it's true. I am from Manila, Philippines. We still practice this until to this day.
Sadly, this tradition is slowly dying. This practice originated from the house set-up of Filipinos of yore when the first floor is virtually not a real part of the house. The lower floor (for the poor) houses the poultry and other livestock while for the rich, the lower floor is where they keep their horses or horse-drawn carriage called "calesa."
@ERICKSKIE23 Yeah, but most of the time, the shoes or slippers are dirty and you leave them outside or at the door step. I thought it was only the Japanese, but it's also Filipinas. She bought a shoe rack to leave the shoes on. I feel like doing a new video.
@ERICKSKIE23 agree to you, my parents allow us to let us in with shoes or slippers if it's not dirty. but it's also true that most people in the philippines leaved their shoes and slippers outside near door step. it's common sense not to walk arond the house when it's full of mud, in the philippines not all people has cars where you don't have to walk in muddy places, walk to catch a ride, or walk to go to the market. lol
Oh yeah, I have super regrets about that. Filipinas are sweet and docile until you marry them. Then they want to take over your whole life. Be careful if you want to marry one. No matter how cute or sexy they look now, once you marry them, they become 'tai tai", (Cantonese for wife number one, the supreme wife).
@John77Doe I was wondering if your making out that every Filipina girl will take over your life cause your wife did yours? I believe you got one of them girls with a strong soul as my last American wife was. My ex tried to run my life but I was to strong to allow her to break me. I guess she wasn't able to control me thats why she went on to cheating on me cause I wouldn't allow it. I don't think its the Filipinas its just how some girls are in any race.
But they practice that in Northern Luzon in the region that they call Illokandia. My wife makes them do that in Metro-Manila, but she is just carrying on what they do in her native province. Google Illokano. The Illokanos were Ferdinand Marcos' 'possie'. The joke is when he landed in Hawaii, he said "I said Pawaii not Hawaii". "pawaii" was his vacation capital like Camp David is to the US Presaident.
@blognewb If the Americans had helicoptered him to "pawaii" that would have been the civil war that nobody wanted. The Illokanos would have fought and died for Marcos. To this day, in my wife's home town, they have plaque to First Lady Imelda Marcos and former President Ferdinand Marcos. Think about it like the US Southwest where the Hopi, Navaho, Arapaho and Apache all lived contiguous to each other in the same region.
@blognewb Marcos is to the Illokanos what Gloria M. Arroyo is to Negros Orientals. In case of a strong coup attempt, she would have moved the capital from Quezon City to Cebu. Her bedrock support was with the Cebuano (Visayans). Think of it like the Hopi, Navaho, Arapaho and Apache. 'Kainin' means rice in Tagalog. 'Inya poi' means rice in Illokano. A Tagalog speaker cannot understand Illokano. You dig?
@John77Doe bro the proper spelling is kanin not kainin (pronounce as ka-nin) and Inapoy (pronounce as In-na-poy). "inya" mean "what". anyway it's okey to commit mistakes after all were all humans. :)
@secredkiller Wow, someone who can actually spell Tagalog and Ilokano. I just spell it phonetically. Sitting upstairs in my daughters bedroom where she never sleeps, is a primer on how to read and write in Tagalog. But I think they call it Filipino now and not Tagalog. I grew up when they said people were speaking Visayan and not Cebuano, and Masbates was part of the Visayas not Bicol.
He's out of his mind, make an honest research mister..!

@xanh01 Sorry, but a lot of people do put there dogs in small boxes, cage fence, I'm sure some people don't but most do. I was there and saw it first hand, I keep taking my wifes graandmothers dog out so he could run, I felt bad for him, They keep there fighting cocks in a small cage as well!!
chuck6969100 3 months ago
some filipinos put the dogs in cages but a lot dont. because if u put the dog in cage the dog will be brave and will bite people. if they roam around they will be with people and they will be kind.

I just cant figure out why the fuck you would want to have shoes on indoors
WiresNdusT 3 months ago
This has been flagged as spam show
The shoes and slippers thing is a matter of preference and really depends on the family.

13elsyd13 3 months ago

@FiIipinoUnggoy LOL I wasnt allowed my fiancees family to by one single meal for them they bought mine. I had to give my girl some money before I left to take her family to dinner for me. Then at the end of the meal she told them it was on me I paid for their dinner. I only once was allowed to buy everybody something at starbucks and that was like pulling their teeth to allow me to. I don't know if it was them being proud or what but I was prepared to spend allot.

im european and we also wash our dog´s feet after walking outside. well, a clean families do that. so its up to individuals rules in family. but i know that for americans it can be strange...i have lived in usa for 1yr and for me was strange that some families dont take their shoes off when walking in house, like they show in movies...but here we dont keep dogs in cages, and never heared bout people doing that in philippines
AyuDomi 5 months ago
they dont keep their dogs in cages.dont let your wife bullshit you.they let them run free as they do their chickens and when they get desperate enough they kill and eat them.they have no reapect for animals because to them an animal is simply a meal or two.im an american and i live in the philippines here in the province with my wife.ive been here for few years and have never seen a dog in a cage.maybe in manila or a big city there.but what sense does it make.its not a rabbit.
fancydelancey1 5 months ago

JRHarris41 5 months ago 5
FYI you have everything wrong dude. If your married to a filipina all that is a personal preference of hers. I went to the Phiippines and met my fiancee. Her family had a dog that roamed freely and we all walked around with our shoes on. Did you go over there? I'm American and I see is other Americans putting things on YT that absolutely makes now sense. Philippines to me have one of the most open hearted and giving people that god put on this earth I love the culture but l <3 my fiancee more
thereathing100 5 months ago 51
@thereathing100 it is actually rude to enter with your shoes on and im a filipino...because of all the dirt the shoe has... unless you see the owner of the house wearing their shoes inside the house or they tell you that its ok to wear the shoes inside the house or slipper.
obridong 4 months ago
@obridong I guess my girls parents we ok with it they didn't say anything about me going into their house with my shoes on. My girl had schooled me bout their families traditions before I went there and she didn't say anything bout the shoes being worn I guess they aren't big on taking them off.
thereathing100 4 months ago
@thereathing100 It is a preference but most don't let their dogs inside the house for this reason but also due to the fact that dogs pee on everything unless trained. They also let you walk in with your shoes if you're a guest, but I've been to HEAPS of different homes and it's obvious that they only let guests do this cuz the real owners leave their shoes/slippers outside or near a door.

I am a Filipina but I dont think dogs are revolting filthy animals that should be kept in cages. I have three dogs and the longest time they had in a cage was about 10 hours. Not all of the dogs here are in cages but yes, we do have a lot of street dogs though.

Well when you purchase a mail order bride you should expect some life changes
Smokerface86 6 months ago
@Smokerface86 If you purchase a mail order bride, you can dictate the terms of existence to her. That was my mistake. Never fall for a girl, whose 'uncle' owns a yacht, helicopter, private jet, and mini-submarine. Hint, if her uncle collects and breeds tigers for a hobby, and is tyring to produce a liger,(lion/tiger cross breed), don't marry her. Find a young mail order bride, who can give you sons. Therein lies my downfall.

OFWwhore 6 months ago
@OFWwhore No, not all American Filipnos make you take your shoes off at the front door. However, my wife sure does. Everyone does that before they enter her family's house in Ilocos Sur and she enforced the custom in Quezon City and then the United States. She also locks the dogs out in the backyard when I'm at work and won't let them in. I feel like a Northern European Neanderthal hunter whose pack of hunting dogs is being shooed out of the cave.

T700Sony 6 months ago

People must learn that most people are not good in geography and maps and they dont know where all these countries are. hehe.
T700Sony 6 months ago 2
@T700Sony I'm sorry, I don't see any comments about Filipinos at all on YT. However, I'm not really into the YT 'Filipino' community. When I was growing up, there was supposed to be a gang war between Filipinos and Samoans in San Francisco, but I was completely oblivious. I can tell you that Tagalog in the U.S. is mutating and it is spoken too fast, and too high pitched, like Chinese. Filipino visitors to the US have told me they only realized it was Tagalog after listening again.

@mygod909 From the upper class or lower class. The upper class ones are totally helpless. The upper class ones rely on their maids for everything. The lower class ones will always bug you to send money to the Philippines to support their family. Anyway, good luck. Marry a young one, who can sire you a son.
John77Doe 6 months ago
@John77Doe
Don't want any kids....thanks...LOL!
mygod909 6 months ago
@mygod909 Children make the family. Filpinas are heavily into bearing children for you. My wife took it as a personal failure on her part that she bore me just one daughter and no son to carry on my illustrious family name. Marry a young lass in her twenties, who can bear you many 'bairns'. I miss my daughter when she was younger and I was everything to her. Children 'cement' the family, I recommend you have some.
John77Doe 6 months ago
@John77Doe
I guess maybe I should have explained first before I said I didn't want kids. I already have 2 kids from a previous marriage and I will be turning 60 this month. What I meant to say was my having children days are over. Thanks for sharing your video. I enjoyed it. Take care...
mygod909 6 months ago
@mygod909 If you have children from a previous marriage, it's a different story. Your Filipina may be content that you have progeny to carry on your name. Don't ask me why, but they're very sensitive about the continuation of family lineage. They feel guilty if you don't have children to carry on your line, even if from a previous relationship.
John77Doe 6 months ago
where did you buy your wife from?
mandarke2006 7 months ago
@mandarke2006 I wish I bought her and could order her around. It's like living with the Dolman of Antares from the 1960's Star Trek series. Her uncle is the shriveled up little old Filipino man in the corner when Pacquaio fights. He's a Warlord with a private army. If you have to buy a woman and can't 'woo' her, I would recommend buying a Filipina from the Visayas or Mindano, and not Luzon. In Luzon, they all already think they're white chicks.
John77Doe 6 months ago
The second floor was the real house and slippers are left at the foot of the stairs. The visitors are only allowed to enter and stay in the veranda or open porch that serves as the receiving area right on top of the stairs and before the doorway of the house. They may wear their shoes or slippers but they cannot enter any farther than the veranda.
Eminemcruz 8 months ago
Yeah, exactly like that. That's the way her Mom's house worked in PhilAm SubDivision & in Vigan. My cousin Edmar saw all the shoes piled in the verenda in PhilAm and started to take off his shoes and make his Taiwanese wife do the same. I told them that me and my daughter were the only ones home except for the maids and they could 'take it easy' and wear their shoes past the veranda. Probably the maids reported me to my wife.
John77Doe 8 months ago
No, it's true. I am from Manila, Philippines. We still practice this until to this day.
Sadly, this tradition is slowly dying. This practice originated from the house set-up of Filipinos of yore when the first floor is virtually not a real part of the house. The lower floor (for the poor) houses the poultry and other livestock while for the rich, the lower floor is where they keep their horses or horse-drawn carriage called "calesa."

LOL THATS NOT TRUE!!!!! WE WALK SHOES IN THE HOUSE IF ITS NOT DIRTY NOR SLIPPERS
ERICKSKIE23 9 months ago
@ERICKSKIE23 Yeah, but most of the time, the shoes or slippers are dirty and you leave them outside or at the door step. I thought it was only the Japanese, but it's also Filipinas. She bought a shoe rack to leave the shoes on. I feel like doing a new video.
John77Doe 9 months ago
@ERICKSKIE23 agree to you, my parents allow us to let us in with shoes or slippers if it's not dirty. but it's also true that most people in the philippines leaved their shoes and slippers outside near door step. it's common sense not to walk arond the house when it's full of mud, in the philippines not all people has cars where you don't have to walk in muddy places, walk to catch a ride, or walk to go to the market. lol
airvilleleenmae 7 months ago
Oh yeah, I have super regrets about that. Filipinas are sweet and docile until you marry them. Then they want to take over your whole life. Be careful if you want to marry one. No matter how cute or sexy they look now, once you marry them, they become 'tai tai", (Cantonese for wife number one, the supreme wife).
John77Doe 10 months ago
@John77Doe I was wondering if your making out that every Filipina girl will take over your life cause your wife did yours? I believe you got one of them girls with a strong soul as my last American wife was. My ex tried to run my life but I was to strong to allow her to break me. I guess she wasn't able to control me thats why she went on to cheating on me cause I wouldn't allow it. I don't think its the Filipinas its just how some girls are in any race.
thereathing100 3 months ago

320zoe 10 months ago
But they practice that in Northern Luzon in the region that they call Illokandia. My wife makes them do that in Metro-Manila, but she is just carrying on what they do in her native province. Google Illokano. The Illokanos were Ferdinand Marcos' 'possie'. The joke is when he landed in Hawaii, he said "I said Pawaii not Hawaii". "pawaii" was his vacation capital like Camp David is to the US Presaident.
John77Doe 1 year ago
Nah I don't think so. We have two philipino neighbors both houses don't practice that one.
blognewb 1 year ago
@blognewb If the Americans had helicoptered him to "pawaii" that would have been the civil war that nobody wanted. The Illokanos would have fought and died for Marcos. To this day, in my wife's home town, they have plaque to First Lady Imelda Marcos and former President Ferdinand Marcos. Think about it like the US Southwest where the Hopi, Navaho, Arapaho and Apache all lived contiguous to each other in the same region.
John77Doe 1 year ago
@blognewb Marcos is to the Illokanos what Gloria M. Arroyo is to Negros Orientals. In case of a strong coup attempt, she would have moved the capital from Quezon City to Cebu. Her bedrock support was with the Cebuano (Visayans). Think of it like the Hopi, Navaho, Arapaho and Apache. 'Kainin' means rice in Tagalog. 'Inya poi' means rice in Illokano. A Tagalog speaker cannot understand Illokano. You dig?
John77Doe 1 year ago
@John77Doe bro the proper spelling is kanin not kainin (pronounce as ka-nin) and Inapoy (pronounce as In-na-poy). "inya" mean "what". anyway it's okey to commit mistakes after all were all humans. :)
secredkiller 6 months ago
@secredkiller Wow, someone who can actually spell Tagalog and Ilokano. I just spell it phonetically. Sitting upstairs in my daughters bedroom where she never sleeps, is a primer on how to read and write in Tagalog. But I think they call it Filipino now and not Tagalog. I grew up when they said people were speaking Visayan and not Cebuano, and Masbates was part of the Visayas not Bicol.
