Love this song, by Henry Mancenni's daughter which the Carpenters sang. Only Karen could make it alive with the feeling it needed, I am always so sad at the heart ache this wonderful gifted woman felt; she always smiled but the pain came through her voice, in the emotions she gave life to her songs.

This voice of an angel taken away to soon... When I got married I was aked what song do I want for the first dance.. This was the song I had always wanted for when that day happened. The reaction of most people had been tears.Mostly because of her voice but also the dedication. I dedicated the song to everyone. Family friends loved ones.. It went over well.

Such a simple piece, yet so much is communicated here. Listen to the lyrics that Karen offers with such heartbreaking tenderness. How many times have I forgotten to say that "i love you" to someone, only to have them die before I saw them again? This song reminds me to say what's in my heart, always. We can never know when the last time we see someone could be 'the last time'. This song began as a simple poem written by a child, but it became something to teach adults, for all time. Bravo.
