Superb advert. It certainly made Paula Hamilton a household name. Very stylishly shot by David Bailey. One of my favourites - only superceded by VW's Golf GTI "Casino" advert.

I agree. By the way do you know where to find the "Casino" advert to which you refer? If that is the one in which I am thinking I have been looking for it quite a while with no success. Has "Casino" the same music as this one? Maybe I am swapping them in my (admittedly not so goog) memory. Thanks.

There were at least two version of this ad - one was used in Canada, and it showed her getting into the other side of the car to drive away. Because of protests over the music, the music (at least in the Canadian edition) was then changed. Anyone have either of the Canuck versions?

I seem to remember the church brigade objected to this commercial being shown on a Sunday because the "What a friend we have in Jesus" song basis, so the aired the ad very late,about 3 minutes before midnight Saturday.
