Instead of the ban on sugar it would have been much more interesting if they had gone into more detail about how many estates like that one were built with colonial or plantation money, a history lesson on the economy of that time would have been far more interesting and also a topic of conversation at their dinner tables, rather than the boring male sports.
Bloody ridiculous to impose a ban on sugar when the shows producers clearly intend on playing on the stereotype that black people make wonderful entertainers! and this mr howard happens to be a penniless one at that! ridiculous!
@mahogonywhisper That is kind of what I have been wondering ever since Miss Francesca got engaged to the man who left in the beginning of the show. I think the engagements are just for the stay at the Regency House.
Thank you SO much for sharing this brilliant show. It provides us with a very visually attractive view of Regency era life. I would love to exeperience this show...but, would not want to really live back then. I like being educated, powerful, knowledgeable and respected....as well as being Godly blessed with good looks.
