you know i never liked him when i was growing up.....but after his appearance in Being There changed all that. What other of his movies do you recommend?
The footage is from a 1960 film called "The Millionairess". The song was not featured in the film although it was obviously inspired by it. The scene featured in the clip is obviously where the song would have slotted in if it had been. Not a bad editing of the song and clip, if only the timing of both had allowed the line "Show me your tongue" to synch with the bit where Sophia actually sticks her tongue out.
@theclarkey100 I did not see the film until the 1980's, I forget if it was on VHS or TV but I remember being very disappointed that the song did not appear in it. The scene featured in spinout007's clip was the obvious place for it. It may have been in the original film release. Maybe the OP can comment on this, I will defer to anyone with better knowledge than I on that matter
@theclarkey100 I should have checked before I answered you comment. It was not in the film, Wikipedia has the story, look up "Goodness_Gracious_Me_(song)". Youtube will not let me post the full link
@EeBee51 yup, I checked wiki before I posted that reply - the thing is they are not ALWAYS right, but in this case their information 'sounded' well researched. Incidentally, my parents share the same memory of watching that film (on sunday afternoon telly, late '60s early '70s) with them singing at each other - mass hallucination? Btw: None of us has ever been abducted by aliens
Peter Sellers was fair smitten with Sophia Loren when making this film, in fact he made a complete charlie of himself over her. His obsession with her put an end to his already creaky first marriage and word of his behaviour travelled. It made quite a few actresses reluctant to work with him. I believe that after this track was recorded Sophia Loren made a very prompt departure from the recording studio.
@andyrewskiful Hahah! I remember the alternating cockney and posh accents of it too! LMAO! I think someone in my family still has the original 45rpm single.
@wordreet hi, this is not a cockney accent. this is the accent you find among well educated people from India. not cockney at all. it is very posh upper-class Indian accent. :)
@tiralira2007 Yes I know that Tiralira. Peter Sellers was a genius both at comedy, accents and serious acting. I was responding to andrewskiful's comment. ;)
@normalil STAY IN THE FUCK LANE you relate yourself to the repulsive syphilis riddled camilla whore looking angular and like a man in drag together with being the most prolific whore ever to be around the royal parasites. It’s not surprising she needed to have her badly prolapsed syphilis riddled vagina tightened what’s next the sagging mouth or rectum they have all clearly obviously been very heavily used by scores of men passing through! Try to stay in the lavatory, it will avoid 'accidents"
@arabellasp1 Please go away. You are repulsive and not welcome here...you disgust me, and every other decent youtube user. "Saint" Diana, I am sure, is very proud of you.
The only STD RADDLED FILTH here is you and that disgusting POX infested camilla whore parasite you keep supporting! You know it will not be long before some third world terrorist of or similar ‘sanitises’ the creature and blows it away just like uncle dickie! Furthermore, every time you write filth from your vile little Manchester slum regarding Princess Diana I will respond and advertise TENFOLD about either you, the vile camilla wore and your various double incontinence issues!

My stethoscope is bobbing to the throbbing of her heart? Jesus, subversive much? hehehe. My stethoscope is throbbing to the bobbing of Sophia Loren's tits...;)
