If you already have 4.2 installed and lost your homebrew, then just use the Smash Stack exploit, it only works on NTSCU and it uses Brawl! If you are PAL or NTSCJ, I don't know what to tell ya...

D3-2 is the name of a new kind of drive for the Nintendo Wii.

Many newer Wii's and ALL black wii's have this drive.

People with this drive will never be able to play burned backup discs. If you still need to play your backups, but have one of these drives, you must use an USB loader instead (since they are not affected by the drive).

So if you want to play backups just put them on a external HDD

There's a program made by Marc that updates the Shop Channel without updating the Wii. Search "Wii Shop and IOS61 installer" on Google it's the first result that you get. :)

i think i have the best mods on my wii this is what i have installed in my Homebrew channel... a FCE ULTRA GX...GENESIS PLUS GX...NEOGAMMA and a SD/USB loader CFG ( with this i never have to buy another wii game again i just rent it and it saves it onto a external harddrive right now i have a total of 57 wii games and 800 snes genesis and nintendo games its awesome DONT UPDATE!!

But, the hackers barely did anything.

They Responded to the update of 4.2 in 48 hours and had there home brew channel working perfectly. So, I don't see why not, I plan not to update unless I have my Home Brew stuff of my wii.

by updating a raw wii to 4.0. will require you to downgrade back at 3.2 so you can install things such as hacked vc games or wads. moreover somme homebrew apps wont work. and youll never be abloe to install cIOS. so might as well start hacking at 3.2 then updtae through a custom firmware updater

to play usb backups (like you put the game iso on an external hard drive or a flash drive) then try usb loader 1.5 by waninkoko. to play by disk backups ( you burn the iso by using the software imgburn onto a dvd-r disk to play backups) try wiigators backup launcher 0.3 gamma

before you make the same mistake as i did. when using imgburn read what it says. when the disk ejects the first time put it back it so it can finish. the second time it ejects then you can take it out. burn the iso to the disk at the speed of 3x. i did it at 1x because of some misleading vidoes and it wouldn't work

I did 2 games at 4X speed and they work just fine using the Backup Loader 0.3 Gamma, which is probably the best backup launcher available right now, I would prefer to be using the USB Launcher GX but I have some kind of skill that lets me screw up whenever Im trying to make a bootable/readable by wii flashdrive, and since my External hard drive is not mine and Id have to format it it would not be the best choice.
