Avison was born in Newcastle. Both of his parents were musicians. He was member of the "Scarlatti sect", a group of Englishmen who were acrive in promoting Italian composer's music in England. Do you have a direct line relationship?

You don't mean Niccolò Machiavelli (1469-1527) do you? I know he was a renaissance man but I don't think time travel was one of his accomplishments. :)

@HARMONICO101 Thanks for this. It's an elegant concerto which manages to sound very Georgian and English in spite of its Italian inspiration. Have you got Avison's 12 opus 6 concerti? Those are quite excellent too.
