i started playing this piece as a 6th grader and it has always been the most moving and genuine of voices for the clarinet. i wish i could have performed it more than once (as a 7th grader - a woman came up to me and gasped, "i had no idea the clarinet could sound like that!" lol, that could mean anything) but i still live vicariously through its performance by richard stolzman.

good sense of time....i wish the audio had been recorded better...that amount of distortion is really hard to get around.
