Just really to see if they work. My teacher once thought it was the fire alarm (She isn't Dutch) so we stood outside for 15 mins before going back to class. There is no drill on may 4th (rememberance day) if they it is on a monday. To prevent people getting unpleasent memories as they are usually reflecting on wars, and mostly their own experiences in WWII.
