It's an improvisation on the canon, taking one line at a time (I think- please correct if I'm wrong!) and expanding on it in the Pachalbel style on top of improvisations on the bass line, which comes through in all the arpeggio stuff etc. I loved it.

Very nice it's refreshing to see an artist add emotion into what their playing, otherwise it becomes to metronomic, which is far to common, it strips the beauty out of the song when your merely playing through the notes.

It was written in or around 1680, during the Baroque period, as a piece of chamber music for three violins and basso continuo, but has since been arranged for a wide variety of ensembles.
