The Goooo-Bots! The Goooo-Bots! Who can forget Bubba Louie and Forgetful Jones as well....I swear people out there are trying to kill me with nostalgia here on Youtube! It's crazy!
this CHCH jingle sounds the same as the "11's on your side" theme from WBAL-TV in baltimore...over there, though, the lyrics for that part of the jingle as shown here, goes, "there's a story, there's glory, there's pride inside...baltimore, 11's on your side."...
CHCH will ALWAYS be a part of me as my family owned & produced that Discover Your World Travel program. In fact, from 1996 until 2004 most of my time had been spent putting those programs together
I know they sucked all of the fun out of this channel. I remember when they showed cartoons from 3:00 to 5:30 in the afternoon. The Centurions, Tom and Jerry, The Pink Panther, The Gobots, Yogi Bear, Snagglepuss, Huckleberry Hound, Quick Draw McGraw, Spider-Man. All of the greats. Now you'd be lucky if you can find anything on that channel that's at the very least half-decent.
Well in the former CH's case they show the news, a morning show with their longtime weather man and some other chick, an interactive game show a talk/opinion show with Mark Hebscher and some other woman and some crappy guy talk show with some dude named John Moore.
Don't forget "Tiny Talent Time!" wherelse can you see 2 accordian acts, 3 kid jazz dance troops, assorted gymnasts and the odd magic act, all from kids under 14?
Of course it WAS the only thing to watch at 5pm on a Sunday evening!
I remember Tiny Talent Time... the only Indian girl to ever appear on the show (Lamis) was one of my closest friends as a kid & I remember my Dad coming home with a big 3/4" machine & the tape of that show to copy for her folks in 1982.
And of course, "Hilarious House of Frightenstein", which was made at CHCH. "The Red Green Show" was first done at CHCH's studios, too, and Steve Smith (Red himself) has a long history of shows at CHCH, going back to "Smith & Smith".
used to watch gobots chch was the only channel i got in canfield back in the early eightys

I'd even take the CH Network over E!. CHCH is the greatest, it gave us Steve Smith.

Cool. What was her talent?
Don't tell me...dance? hehe
Either the girls where part of a
dance troop, or solo dancer or
some kind of gymnast.
Remember host Bill Lawrence and his little talk with the tykes?
"What do you want to be?"
"If you had a wish, what would you wish for?"
