I loved this in the arcade. The Mega Drive / Genesis version looks pretty good and seems to play very similarly to the arcade edition but it lacks the beautiful watercolour style that's used for all the backgrounds. I guess the Mega Drive didn't have the enough on screen colours to pull it off.

@PsimanUK I'll have to check out the arcade version on my mame cab and do a comparison Simon but yeah even if it had its limitations I do think the MD/Genny port is excellent, so much better than the snes version which is pretty terrible lol

I miss good Beat em ups. I think a lot of franchises could use a good beat em up mixed in. I would love to see what Blizzard could do with one. Also a Nintendo Themed one would be pretty fun. Like Smash Bros, but with side scrolling.

I would love to see this game remade with updated graphics for the Avengers movie next year.

The guy to the left is called The Vision, he's one of my fave Avengers so he's allways my character of choice. I personaly prefer this to both Turtles games and The X-men one.

This game is wierd, didn't know there was a Cpt America game on the Mega Drive, it doesn't seem as good compared to the Xmen game.

@Retrosofer I've still to play the x-men games dude, i have the 1st game but haven't had chance to try it out yet. This is really fun especially if you enjoyed the arcade game.

You know The Arcade version is amazing and the Genesis version got a lot of flack but I honestly consider it a very good and playable port! Slightly prefer this to the early 90's X-men Arcade game (by a whisker) Think I may actually prefer this to Turtles. Great video, the Bloke on the left is Vision (how sad is it that I know that?)

I like the look of this one. I voice acting is brilliant, I'd play it for that alone. Like you say it's got some nice gameplay variation but that shooter section looks hard as nails. I've always got time for a scrolling beat 'em up, I think this one's going on the list, cheers dude.

Cheers for the gameplay mate, looks good. Strangely enough, I passed up on the snes version of this at a car boot few weeks ago, was wondering if it was a side-scrolling beat 'em up. Turns out it is :)
