I have the new 3 wide differential, but whenever I hook a motor up to it, all I get is grinding gears. Is there a way more compact than the ones on your brickshelf folder to build a stronger mounting?
Wow... That's pretty cool... And I thought I was the Lego master... Where did you get the motors from? And is there anyone on YouTube or in real life that is better than you with legos? ( that you know of )
I have. But pneumatic engines are relatively large and unreliable (no fixed output speed), and somewhat inconvenient. Most of my vehicles use several motors, to power more functions than just the drive - so it's more convenient to add one more electric motor, than to have a number of electric motors and a single pneumatic one.
awsome truck and i love the spedometer lol, but i am waiting to see another trial truck lol? i see ur biulding a unimog (if i remmeber correctly) in your future projects part of your site, nice
Some power steering systems do align the wheels, I think Citroen was one of the first to develop these into serial cars. Nowadays, most systems are capable of it, and many do that accordingly to the car's speed.
it wouldn't be that bad, just mount a regular rack and pinion system on two of those kinda L shaped technic pieces and there you have it. its at a 45 degree angle. you should give it a try it might turn out better.

@Bonald1101 Use the 7x5 open liftarm frame. The part ID is 64179.

@searme Unfortunately I have neither the piece, nor the money to acquire it. Thanks for your help, though.

If you use 2 pf xl motors to drive it with only one battery box how do u steer while driving because a battery box only holds 2 xl motor at a time ??
crazypuma164 2 years ago
Have you tried using better batteries perhaps?
searme 2 years ago
Well i use duracel r they good enough?
crazypuma164 2 years ago
No idea, never used them. I've used rechargeable GP batteries and I've never had any problems with a single bbox powering more than two XLs.

Some new Lego sets have these.

so is this your fastest 1 or the 1 u showed in with steering that chasis 1
Lionspirit08 2 years ago
This is slower than the chassis alone, because of the weight.

super nice. man can you make a vid on how to make it. it is so cool!!!!!!

which is your most favoured motor the xl or m?
for use in your models which ones do you use more and how many of each?
azerrlight 3 years ago
I use M motor more, because it's much smaller and still performs well. XL motor is for extremely heavy duty.
searme 3 years ago
Its not so fast than one of the earliers racing truck but it look better. What lego motor did you use to drive that vechile?
ZtomzukiZ 3 years ago
Two PF XLs.
searme 3 years ago
is this your fastest racing truck or were the earlier racing trucks faster? how many motors are on the drive?
Eugbob 3 years ago
Two. I think one of the earlier ones was faster.

Have you ever thought about making V8 (or smaller) engine from LEGO penumatics to power you cars
darek4488 3 years ago

but you can control how much air goes to an engine using selfmade controller. I mean that you can crumple a hose with different force.

you should do the return to center steering system like they do on real cars by ajusting the camber
james2bond 3 years ago
On real cars they use power steering, with hydraulics and parts like e.g. rotary valves. Lego doesn't produce hydraulics.
searme 3 years ago
the power steering system doesn't auto align the wheels where the hell did u get that idea
james2bond 3 years ago
its caster that re aligns the wheels not camber sorry
james2bond 3 years ago

searme 3 years ago
ok well if u cant use hydraulics why not just use caster.
james2bond 3 years ago
Because it's very troublesome to do with Lego bricks.
