Your review is fun; your chipmunk voice is actually one of the better ones I've heard XD And don't feel too bad about looking up how to get the good ending; I kinda did it too from watching on youtube lol (I just had to know what happened next!) ^o^;
The review felt more like a rant and you talk really really fast. As a pack rat, I'm glad items didn't stack. It made it harder but it was something I struggled with.
And if you don't like the nature of my review, feel free not to watch it :p
That doesn't make sense. If you're a pack rat, you should want to be able to carry as many items as possible, meaning you would want them to stack o.-
For the item thing, I only like it because as a pack rat it makes the game more challenging for me. It seems to work out okay in the game for me. For other RPGs.....I do not like having limited item space at all.
Also, well, it's always a good idea to give things a 'try' which was my viewing of this review. Though I also watched your Eternal Sonata review, as you know.
Heh yeah I only heard of it in a really obscure reference on Kotaku. The screens were really pretty, so I popped it on my gamefly list...I still miss this game.
Are you serious? I guess if you live in a box and never surf gamesties or read gaming mags?!? maybe...
Odin Sphere was insanely hyped when it came out and in all honesty, the game is more OVERRATED then overlooked.
Don't get me wrong, it is without a doubt the best looking 2D game ever. Have some fantastic VO work and the story is really good for a short little hack and slash game.
However I got real bored real fast since it's the same thing over and over =(
Oh, kay. Well, I never saw it mentioned in any magazine, and only saw it mentioned on Kotaku.
And the mention in Kotaku was very short and only talked about the lovely artwork, so it was a pleasant surprise to me. I had no expectations to be ruined.
YouTube has changed policy, see their statement below:
You can no longer upload videos longer than ten minutes regardless of what type of account you have. Users who had previously been allowed to upload longer content still retain this ability, so you may occasionally see videos that are longer than ten minutes.
heh go for it...? I dunno, subscribe if you wan't, don't if you don't want :p I'm not one of those 'sub4sub' people who only care about the number of subs, not if the subs actually watch my videos.
Kaily if you love Odin Sphere so much, then Okami is another awesome game I'd recommend. Unlike Odin Spher, Okami is in 3D, but the artwork in the graphics is very similar. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised based on these similarities if it was made by the same people that made Odin Sphere.
Here's a video someone uploaded showing what Okami is like:
Got the orange box not long ago, and it was well worth the purchase. hl2 was one of those games that was hard to stop playing. It made me want to finish chapters just to see how the story progressed. A word of advice: it might be a good idea to read up on or play hL1. I was seriously LOST in hl2 because I had not played 1. I had headaches playing hL 1, and the game seriously pissed me off though. I wish i had just cheated and read up on the story (i eventually did after reaching the last level).
I did play HL1, and actually I was thinking of playing through it again, if I can find my disk and get it to work on vista, heh. Gah, I wish I wasn't poor so I could get it for pc!! Aiming with toggle sticks sucks!!
Yeah...today feels so weird to not be playing it, it sort of became like a way of life for a month o.- Do my crap, then play odin sphere. I miss it, sniffle.
I dunno, everyone else has a weird into so I decided to try it <<
*you're and I actually did better than usual, for Eternal Sonata, I pretty much followed the guide word for word...but this game, I only checked it to keep the recipes straight (when you look at the recipes in game they don't tell you what exp they give) and to know who to play against the bosses. Probably because Odin Sphere is such a linear game lol
well it was more fun, and not just a normal video review with the whole voice thing, game reviews seem to be the same thing nowadays it was nice to see, a more laid back funny type of review
oh well I sped it up to meet the time limit and most people complain about it...but I guess you liked it :p I do lots of other reviews you might like <<
PS: I took a look (I didn't remember either); Turny + 8 material = Regeneration =D

The PAL-version of the game has no lagging what so ever. Yeah perhaps there is some lag but nothing that hinders the experience at all.

@NejiWannabe I presume they were mocking it then, since all 4chan does is belittle the internets as a whole :p

Sounds a little bit like playing a Final Fantasy game, kinda looks a little like that game Chrono Cross....oops showing my ages.

Don't be silly, Final Fantasy and Chrono Cross are still very popular :p I think you mean Trigger though, Cross was 3d.

Kailys3 3 years ago
Yeah I agree. The sticks are either too sensitive for precise aiming, or too slow to react to someone not near the cursor.
RoTZhao 3 years ago
Nice review.. too bad youtube is holding you down with the 10 min rule (which btw. is fricking lame) looking forward to your HL2 review :D
DanIhjel86 3 years ago
Heh thanks. It might be a while, HL2 is a pretty big game and not easy for a butterfingers like me.

Yes good review. The intro had some good energy to it. Cat ears are nice. It doesn't hurt to have a thing, or gimick.
Game sounds interesting. Graphics remind me of Final Fantasy Tactics.
